It is his story, told by him and documented in pictures by him. It really does not get any closer than this. PCTKOT - SSPIB&W - FTOD £25 Over Time - The Jazz photographs of Milt Hinton. He was there, he had a camera. As close as it gets - kind of a 2nd volume from the one above. . PCTKOT - SSPIB&W - FTOD £11 The Jazz Theory Book - Mark Levine.     I have owned several (P and J) and currently own an original '66 J. Functionally there is no difference. The original has more bragging rights, but other than that, for me, they are the same. If he made a 66 J 5 and a P (with an A neck) 5 string then I would happily flog most of my kit. But he wont. I have asked several times.

    Hi all, I am just wondering about a new gig bag. I am fully aware of all the options out there. But I am thinking about weights. And I though it would be a good resource to have a list of weights. Anyone care to weigh their empty gig bags? I will do the Protec Contego in a minute.

    The whole congregation got anxiety. But not as much as the bloke playing in one key and singing in another. On a musical level it was quite impressive, but in the moment, not quite so impressive.

    We started one song in D but the leader sang the first verse in G. By the time I had worked out what his vocal key was, he was moving back towards D. It was intense!

    Whatever is playing bass on Deeper Underground does something weird at 1:05 and then they C+P it at 2:02, 2:20, 3:22 and 3:41. I am fully aware that I need to get out more.

    I can confirm that many Jazz necks are labeled 7 and not 5. I suspect you need more info than that.

    All my basses are magic. And lots of the basses I do not own but pick up to play are magic. I am a bass tart and will go with any bass.

    If he remembered the bass he could give you a broad valuation given today's market.

    I would suggest working out who the luthier was (there cannot be THAT many in Brighton) and asking him what it might be worth now. An insurance valuation is very different from a sale valuation.
