  1. I KNEW that the Baddass bridge was going to revolutionise not only my playing but my life. Yeah
  2. We have all been there.
  3. Jez makes exceedingly good basses.
  4. Now there is one less in their actual stock.
  5. Perhaps my worrying about being on double digits is not something I should concern myself with. https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/news/2024/8/musician-whos-shared-stage-with-legends-owns-worlds-largest-bass-guitar-collection
  6. It is quite the machine. The 4 way selector switch makes an AWFUL lot of sense. The weight is great and the build quality is flawless.
  7. I guessed so, but I was friends with her decades ago and it would have been very cool if she was on here.
  8. I have a green sparkly Dingwall D-Roc 5 string. It is not for me. I spent a happy hour playing more basses than I need tonight and several are going on manoeuvres to other locations. It is in as new condition. Fanned frets? Not a problem. I just have too many basses, and am feeling other ones more than this. Obv, in a perfect world I would keep everything, but I do not need to be owning basses in double figures. I have taken shots with flash and without flash so you too can enjoy that sparkly goodness. I did a video but it was too big. Which is a shame, it was sparkly. There is no denying it, they do a lovely metal flake. It comes with the Dingwall gig bag which is really rather nice. The price is posted to your door.
  9. I have been around the Uke Bass block once or twice. The upshot is that the nature of the strings are not hifi and zingy so there really is not much to go wrong on them. You can spend more money than I care to admit to publicly and get some stupendously built instruments. But the bottom line is as long as the piezo bridge is seated properly the rest is not a big deal. It gives a lovely dull thud
  10. Tauzero, are you Rachel?
  11. Not mine. I could never land on a definitive combination for long enough. But the structure of this looks lush.
  12. You could get a bog standard WAV one 2nd hand and get it fretted. My fretted one was full fat. My present fretless is a WAV one. If there is a difference then it is minimal.
  13. I will have to plug into my big speakers! My laptop is not registering any difference
  14. I am just glad I no longer need to hold my breath!
  15. I have been holding my breath, but feel that I am about to burst.....
  16. I have owned one. I sold it, cos I NEEDED something else. We all know how it is. I really enjoyed it. I would probably not sell it if I still owned it. Tone wise, it sounds like a bass guitar. As a DB player, what I hugely enjoyed was the right hand articulation. There is something about my hand falling in that way which feels very much like home. Would I buy another? Possibly yes, but the prices are significant. But then the prices for anything new are significant by now. I remember all this when it was fields.
  17. Please do not read anything into this statement other than my massive appreciation for Chad Smith. Any band with Chad Smith in it is going to be cooking on gas.
  18. I teach on a Music Tech course. One of the activities is letting our DJs loose on the lunchtime crowd in the canteen. We leave the PA system up there (QSC KW122 and KW181 Sub) and part of the activity is for them to rig it, run it and de-rig it. Sometimes I wander past the canteen when they are doing a set. It is fair to say that they have not yet grasped the concept of sub not overpowering the tops
  19. Because I am exercising a strange level of self-control.
  20. I am looking forward to those
  21. It is just like eavesdropping on a friendly chat by people who know what they are talking about.
  22. I love this thread
  23. Sorry Mike, but you are not dealing with facts here. 2005 cannot possibly be 19 years ago.
