The Fodera Hollowbody caught my attention
If I was paying the price of a small island for a bass I would want the body not to be made of two body blanks glued together. Ugh.

Fender Jazz Bass 1963 stripped natural - SOLD
An un-stripped pre CBS....?
Nope. Maybe? No. Can I have one of each? I even have a set of mutes waiting for just the right moment. Sadly, this is not it. The first bass I ever really took in was a stripped Jazz and I struggle to not buy it every time I see one for sale. I have even done a spreadsheet to see if I could realise the capital for this one. It did not work -

Not to derail, but I am yet to try a duff set of TI strings. The Jazz Rounds are just lush - same kind of low tension vibe as the flats, but .....umm...... roundwound. I put a set of power bass strings on my Jazz last week and it all sounds louder and beefier than before. Almost like a little preamp has been put in. I realise that sounds ridiculous, but that is how it feels. I'm loving them.
Hi, will you split up the rig? I'm interested in the head only...and whats this buzzing problem, is it the amp or the bins or your bass maybe not earthing properly?
The head has probably left the building I'm afraid. But if that changes I will re-anounce.
Is the hum and breakup caused by the speakers or amp ? Thanks.
The hum is a signal to noise issue in the amp. I have gigged with significantly worse, but I wanted to be clear in the ad. Breakup is on really heavy plucking and in the amp. I have tried the speakers with another known to be working amp and they are fine and dandy.
Where are you? I'd also be interested to hear more about where the hum is coming from. Do you mean 'edge' in a good way or are you trying to decribe a bad sound? Thanks.
I am in North Wales. The edge is not what you would call valves being driven into mellow overdrive. It is slightly harsh distortion. Again, on a gig it would simply disappear, but I want to be clear about stuff. I hope that answers all the questions. As I said the amp is more than likely gone and, as I forgot to say, one speaker is spoken for. Thanks y'all

I watched a lot of her vids on YT. I don't understand.......... she seems to be playing everything on the same bass......... surely she must know that she needs different basses for different styles............... what......... you mean it really is just in the fingers...............? How can I justify having more than one bass now then? She sounds great.
Those drivers look like whizzy cones. Have they been changed? Do you know the weight of the cabs? Nice rig.
No, they are the original drivers with proper big compression drivers. The Wizzy thing is round http://www.shorelinemusic.com/music/amps/euphonic-audio/euphonic-audio-wizzy-12/ They weigh approx 20Kg each. Not BF light, but certainly not heavy.
You are having a clear out. Just to say I am using two M-lines in a similar flexible rig and cant see me changing and I also owned an iAmp these are disigned to do the job that is bass, not down to a price. You will not find a more flexible amp to get the sound you need and want. Grab a bargain.
I am having a clear out I have WAY too much kit!

I bought this whole rig here recently, hoping it would replace my current rig as it is more modular and lighter. Sadly it does not. There is a slight hum but that dissapears when you actually start playing. There is a very slight hint of edge when you really dig in. 800 watts into both cabs. Nice modular but loud rig £600 + carriage. Firm. Not looking for any trades I'm afraid.

[s]I bought this here ages ago. LOVED the neck, LOVED the light weight. I am not Mr MM pickup. I took the original out and put a custom Bart in because it would cure my MM allergies. It did not. It is a better pickup no doubt, but still MMesque. I had another MM pickup lying around (SD MM drop in replacement). Obv, putting that in would make it better cos more is more, right Yngwie? Wrong! So there I was with a bass that acoustically totally does it for me, but I cannot get the sound I want. Obv it needs a pre-amp. I put an Audere in it. Wow, it roared. Then I realised that I needed and East MM in there, so flogged the Audere and put an East in. Wrong. Flogged the East and bought a new Audere. Now it roars again, but try as I might I cannot love it and don't think I ever will. I now have WAY too many basses and need to shift some. I have the original pickup - truth be told the Bart is nice but does not actually fill the gap particularly well - so I will chuck that in as well. In the pics I will upload asap you will see that it is not a pristine as new model, but it is quite the player. I am struggling to work out what to ask really. The hardware is worth quite a pretty penny, I would be happy enough to take that off and flog it and keep the neck and body and waste more money trying to get it "just so". So if anyone wants bits from it then give me a shout and I can see what happens. Bass as is (without the Dtuner on the B ) £400 What was I thinking? £300 Either pickup £70 each. Audere - £100 It is all black.[/s]
