1.
Church round here has Meyer installed...
I played through a Meyer rig once
2. Keep this info coming! Have you looked at the Yamaha DSR series? They seem to get a lot of love and they have a 15" (850w) + 2" (450w) model.
3. SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT THAT GUITAR WAS!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE INTERNET, PEOPLE!!!!!! I NEED INSTANT GRATIFICATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. I have not watched for ages but enjoyed this evening. What guitar was the lead guitarist with KOL playing? Gibson ES175 without a tailpiece? Quite oddly, I seem to have guitar GAS. Most unexpected.
5.
But what makes my jaw actually hang open is when I consider that, without formal theory training and whatnot, he had the maturity, at the tender age of 26, after playing bass for only 9 years, to engineer classical Stravinsky ideas into a pop song - Wherever I lay My Hat. It takes a particular type of artistic mind to do that. Whoever reckoned there are thousands like Pino Palladino - I think not.
To be fair, and I love Pino as much as anyone, but what he is playing there - although a quote from The Rite of Spring - is more than likely to be a quote of Jaco quoting Stravinsky. I have been listening to all of them for decades and only recently made the conection. http://tomkenrick.wordpress.com/category/jaco-pastorius/
6.
REALLY cool! Great idea. It would be a one off and I think I might be still waiting for my bass into 2014!
I had a Sei made once and came up with the idea too late. I had LEDs and Martin said he would have loved to do it if I had thought about it in time. Other than in music, timing is not one of my strong points!
7.
I'm wondering about an onboard tuner.
Multicolour/function LEDs in the neck for side dots. White for normal, but cbanging colour for using as tuner info. Red either side of the octave and green at the octave to denote in tune. It would be super cool but can you imagine the extra cost!?!
8. I have no possible use for this, but it would look SO cool in the corner in my house!
9. I'm up in North Wales
10.
Doh! I would have loved that!!!!! Gutted I even have a set of spare frets
Don't worry, soon I will take on another project and then do the square root of nothing at all with it and have to shift it on again.
11.
PMd
Sadly, not as yet. However, this has now gone.
12. So, yeah, I fancy myself as a luthier. The fact that I have no woodworking skills at all has not stopped me from dreaming. Sometime ago this appeared on here. I immediately knew that I could weave my magic and create a totally playable instrument from it. All I needed to do was strip it right back to bare wood, re-fret it, finish it and set it up. You can guess the rest. As you can see in the pics, it has seen some sort of action. It has been de-fretted. The decal is most definitely not original. I think it is prob a Squier, but then it really does not matter. I got it for carriage and a donation to good old BC, so am asking the same. Take my junk. Please. 13. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/216436-eub-gigbag-for-nothing/page__pid__2201118#entry2201118 Free case for it. Take my junk.
14. I have a bag which came on my NS EUB ages ago. The NS was second hand and the case is 100% not original NS kit. It is 130cm x 25cm. It is lightly padded. It is yours for the cost of postage. Take my junk.
15. That is a lush piece of wood, and I would even venture to say that the knot gives it just a hint of character as well. Not that it does not have character, but the slight "blemish" makes it more real somehow.
16. This is an insane cab for £200. Just so that everyone knows.
17. I have never used anything but cello rosin (or violin if I forgot mine).
18. I have generally not used strap locks for years. I simply use washers and screw the whole washer/strap/button into the bass. Something like this with a small rubber cover cut off one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-3D-Removable-Lego-Brick-Block-Silicone-Case-Cover-Protector-for-iPhone-5-/121170620101?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item1c3654eec5 might work. I am only musing aloud here I do have one bass with a Jazz-esque body and have a schaller strap lock on it, but offset that so that when it and the lower bout is level the bass is stable. Obv there are issues with scratching the finish, but you could have the same arrangement and use a second strap button. Why am I still awake?
19. How about 2 strap buttons at the bottom which will then create a stable surface to lean it against anything?
20.
Good evening, Owen... I've posted a link to here on the Hofner forum which I frequent... http://hofnerhounds....g/about651.html ...I hope this meets with your approval (if not I'll retract, of course...). Good luck with the sale; it's almost a shame I have my Verithin bass, or I'd be after her..! She looks great.
You are a gentleman. Thank you.
21. Price drop bump £400 + carriage.
22. I have a Korean MTD which I love to play acoustically but I have never been happy with the tone (and believe me I tried so many different options) I had Aaron Armstrong wind me a P5 pickup and now I could not be happier. I would love it to look like a P as well but other than that I cannot fault it. Any 5er you like with a P5 in a pickup shape you can drop in will do the job. Sadly I now have a redundant second pickup rout as well as two spare control holes in my MTD. You live and learn. Eventually.

24. No, they are bog standard Hipshot ones.
