1.
Hope this stays on here until I sell my Stingray.... Great deal for a fine amp thingy.
Sorry, it has now gone.
2. Bows. It's a whole new world of pain. There really is no substitute for trying them. The variables have no right to make such a difference. Sadly they do. If I had the disposable income then I would happily drop £5K minimum on a bow. Once you have played a nice one you just wonder how you can ever go back.
3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vC4WciT8Zok This guy makes the drums speak. They will be doing a similar set in London on Feb 22nd and 23rd. I shall see you all there.
4. Any decent luthier should be able to steam it back into shape. Perhaps not a long term (5year) cure, but will sort out the warp for quite a bit and there will be no fee for fitting it. You could probably do it yourself.
5. A spotty youth in mid America with and endless supply of flat coca cola and cold pizza is waiting to demonstrate his tech prowess to you on youtube as soon as he possibly can.
6. This is a question which comes up (I am guilty of it myself!), The conclusion I came to is that small power amp on it's own is unlikely to be any smaller than the new micro heads really.
7. I shall bump my Fusion on the Amps for sale section now!
8. No, not Logic. The mainstage app is now available stand alone for £20. I have mainstage 1 but fancy mainstage 2.
9. I have used Logic since 1.9. I am on 8 and have no reason to upgrade at the moment, but was going to 10 when it appeared because I want Mainstage 2. With this I do not need to. I can get what I need for £20. Thank you thank you thank you for flagging this up.
10. And the Geek of the Week prize goes to Ou7shined
11. Smoother than a smooth thing.
12. That's my first bass, right there. I stripped mine badly and then painted the front with car paint (badly). I can still smell the laquer as I sanded it off. I learnt a lot during that project. About my total lack of lutherie skills. Sorry to veer off topic but it took me back 30 years.
13. Neither of you are helping my resolve to not own 2 high end pre-amps. It is lush beyond, but the parametric eq on the Demeter tames my DB.
14. I just cannot decide between this and my other pre at the moment so both are staying until something changes so I'm afraid this is off the market. I just bought this from Beedster. I am slightly OCD and have to try every pre-amp out there. I could be very happy indeed with this pre-amp. I have spent a happy 2 hours messing with it and it has wrapped me in luscious warmth and punch. So why am I selling? For now my Demeter just (but only just) edges it. It was fun to try, and when you live where I live then picking stuff up like this is the only way to try stuff out in a meaningful way. As I said, I could be very happy indeed with this pre-amp, but I cannot possibly justify having two pre-amps of this value sitting in my house. Need it you know you do. Also putting my Peavey IPR1600 super lightweight power amp and SKB X rack into the mix
15. I bought a 33" Shuker 5 string last year. It was exceptionally nice and the scale did not affect the B in a bad way.
16. Because of the way the first two pics were sized I thought you had bought the biggest piece of Burr EVER!!!!!!!!
17. This can make you wobble and there is an element of speeding up and slowing down if you use an expression pedal. Not to BPM exactness, but it is is there.
