1. Will someone buy this before I do something silly. Or of course someone could buy my Berg IP310 and then I could buy it!
2. The P series Yamaha ones are built for Roadies!
3. Last time I ran a pre/power rack I used a Peavey. It was superb, dirt cheap and light as a feather. That is the combination you are looking for
4.
Thanks for the suggestions guys - might have to do a bit more amp shopping!!
Now THAT'S living!
5. Tonally? No idea. However I would LOVE one of those leg rests on my Streamliner.
6. I have put them on every 5 string I have owned for the past 15 years (I am not going to count). It works fine and dandy, there are no tension issues going up and down and you get to play lower notes. What's not to love? I only wish I could find one for my Status.
7. My daughter has a short scale one. Is it a Sei or Sadowsky? Obv not. It is fine and dandy.
8. Hey everyone in a forum I never usually visit! I am comng here for some advice. I have a friend who's 10 year old wants to start messing with basic sequencing for composing tunes etc. She runs a PC so obv Garage Band is out, but is there anything that child friendly out there for PC? TIA
9. I don't need this cab, but anyone who plays bass AND Hammond has to be pretty cool
10. Has anyone tried the Pyramid strings? The vid makes the Ubass sound like a useable bass guitar. I do realise that this kind of defeats the object of having the pahoehoes (which I love), but I might have to get another for the pyramid strings. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JzF-5k0pog
11.
Btw, I'm not slagging the Squeezer off, now I've finally got to grips with it, it is a wonderful and (eventually) very versatile pedal, but, why oh why, does it have to be so complicated !!
I had one of those. It was the bomb. Even the presets were good. I could see endless possibilities. All of which were way beyond my programming ability.
12.
I think you're confusing High/Low impedance (HiZ, LoZ) with high and low level inputs. You really don't want to load a passive pickup with a LoZ input. If by "fuller" you mean lacking in high frequencies, then yes a low impedance input will achieve that.
See above for explanation.
13. Ignore this post. I am a doofus!
14. >Hmmm, I may end up keeping both as I can see pros for each!!! The baschat way, it is.
15. Is it just plain old fashioned headroom? A big power supply can just deliver. You can go as fast as you are legally allowed to in an original VW Beetle. You can bet it will be more comfortable in a new Bentley. I picked up the TF750 that was on here recently to try one. Tragically I have not managed to plug it in yet
16. There is no way she would have that level of hand and voice co-ordination going on. Blimey!
17. Obv not a natural bassist.
18.
Does this mean that you might sell the Sei for around a grand in terms of ballpark??
You already have 2, stop being greedy.
19. I cannot deny it
20. Wood is the best!
21. Bump
22. Ugh. Reality bites
23.
Unless you have two basses so you can set up one for arco and one for jazz...
i used to be able to do that. I am still not entirely sure why I sold one
24. I paid and it came. It was well packed and easy. What more do you need to know?
