3. Vol - filter - filter - passive tone. Black knobs included.
4. I really was trying to be 41!
5. I will take a hit for the team and be number 41.
6. If it is still here it will be all yours! I will do pics tonight and give it a full description (what else do you want to know?).
7. Not entirely sure that the new classifieds are getting the reading they need so I will bump this and put some info in. 1U, 9lbs, 350w per side into 4 Ohms or 700w bridged into 8 ohms. Temperature driven fan so when you are not hammering it, it stays nice and quiet. £250 to your door.
8. Pre £120 [s]Pickup £65[/s] prob sold
9. I did a gig a couple of weeks ago and the engineer was using one of these and a mac book as a mixer. Lush.
10. And then I bought Scooby's Uberhorn from Ian. It was all easier than an easy thing
11. Sorry, I have not scanned this thread so I might have missed something obvious in my response. Pay to sell? Totally yes. Happy to do so. Stuff costs money to run. That is how things work properly New classifieds? I must admit they are not doing it for me. Sorry I really like the debate around bits of kit for sale. The new classifieds seem to need another step before actually getting in there and they seem slightly sterile. I am more than aware that I am not a mod and that there are probably sound reasons for having them.
12. Yes! Send me your PP and I will get on it.
13. It looks like Bigjohn and I are in the lead. Winning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
14.
I've got through to the checkout screen. Total price posted is £28.57 (£19.77 for the picks, £8.80 courier), which is £2.38 per pick. So, second class would add 50p, whereas first class would add 60p. I'm happy to order a dozen if anyone still wants to proceed at that price?
Count me in for 4. Ta
15. If any appear I would love some,
16. I saw them in Manc and thought they were exceptional. A monster songwriting talent with a rhythm section which serves the song, keeps it interesting but never gets in the way.

18. Next time remind me to just offer the ticket up for nothing - really would have prefered a BCer to have seen the gig than have collected the paltry £5 the tout paid me for it. The gig was really, really good. Superb dynamics and just 3 blokes playing good music. If you are not aware of their stuff but they are playing close to you then do yourself a favour and go along. OBG (obligatory bass content) Robert Sledge has acres of space to fill and does so totally naturally but totally creatively.
19. I have a spare if anyone wants it. Face value. Ta

Relic J5
sounds great- really great...but, really really reliced? why?
Because I want to
I'll be following this build with glee!
It looks like you got there before me!
Lawrence (Henry Norton) built me a lovely Jazz 5 neck a couple of years ago for a bass I was putting together and he's now making me a complete fretless 4 string PJ bass. This sounds like a very interesting project, I like the idea of a lightweight 5 string Jazz bass, out of interest is there any reason why you are not getting Lawrence to put the whole thing together for you? Can't wait to see some pics
It was you who put Lawrence on my radar. I will bolt it together myself because it will give me some sort of ownership (however tenuous) of the project.
