  1. The body was lush though.
  2. Is there anything easier to sell on BC?
  3. Without a doubt. But that body is lush.
  4. It looks lovely. But "Shipping offered only to the lower 48 states". So that is us in the UK out of the race.
  5. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/156441998613?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=42k2BX4-Svi&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=g-S2GOEbSbm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  6. To be fair to sound engineers, both experienced and fresh, if Barry on keys is playing as if there is no one else in the band, has reduced motor skills so is smacking all sorts of extra notes, is riding that sustain pedal, is giving it his finest Con Belto with octegenarian vibrato while speeding up and is partially deaf so cannot hear anyone else there is not much you can do. I am fully aware that was a long sentence. Obv I changed Jim's name to Barry to hide his identity. But the point stands. Any band, no matter what the venue, can suck badly if there is no musical discipline or any mic technique. The nature of volunteers is that this could happen on a Sunday morning or evening. And the congregation/audience will presume it is the sound bod cos the band must be OK. Sound bods do not have it easy.
  7. It is with bassbros now. It is up on their website. But yes, still avaiable, just not from me directly.
  8. I hate compressors. How dare anything question my use of dynamics? This is because I can never set them right. I love the Spectracomp because multiband is lush and lots of proper grown ups have set it up right in really easy to try presets. I know I should be learning and creating my own signature sound, but life is too short. I know what my favourite preset is. I like it so much that I own 3. One for my Sunday morning residency, one for my pedalboard and one for recording at home. All with the same preset.
  9. Clearly, we are not discussing Double Bass strings here!
  10. Does your daughter want to adopt any other parents?
  11. At the risk of going OT, has anyone tried these? https://www.wired.com/review/creative-aurvana-ace-2/
  12. Thanks, I had seen that one but we will never want to run it with both speakers at the same time. It will be purely a recording amp. It will either go through an Orange 4x12 or a Victory 2x12.
  13. No wonder my bass looks trashed.
  14. We have one of these at work. We suspect it is quite a tone monster because it is super responsive. But it is breathing through a 1x10" in a small combo cab which is a bit anaemic. If we could plug it into either our 2x12 or our 4x12 then I am guessing we would be pleasantly surprised. Would it work for us to splice the speaker lead and solder it into a mounted jack socket which could either accept a jack lead going straight to the internal speaker or a lead out to a bigger cab? I would not want to run both speakers at the same time, I am aware of matching the Ohms and not running the amp without a speaker load on it. Am I missing anything? TIA.
  15. You are TOTALLY worth it.
  16. There are lots and lots of variables here. But one of the really cheap things which will make a huge difference is actually training everyone who will be close to a mic. People are genuinely clueless with mic work. Shockingly so.
  17. There is a hi z / low z option on it which did not seem to make a huge amount of difference. But it sounded MIGHTY fine.
