I seem to recall that my Realist pickup was much less fussy about what it went into than other pickups I have used.

If your amp's input has a high enough impedance you are good to go. This is not always the case. And for the record, I am ALWAYS up for new gizmos.

What is the secret of these? Is it just bigly magnets? Super duper windings? What gives? I have a 5 string L1000 with an MFD pickup. It brings the heft.

I used to have the non stomp box one which was great. The reality is that an Fdeck preamp or a clone will do all you need and will be much cheaper. I will admit to a vested interest here because I have one for sale. But even if I did not I would still say the same thing.

I have bought a 2nd hand one. Buyer beware. I naively expected that the software would be freely available. It is not. It is tied to the specific unit. It is possible to transfer the licence but that is another step in the transaction. One which my seller has not managed to undertake yet. And it has been 2 weeks. Had I known (or thought it through) I would have just bought a new one. My £75 saving on the new price is now paling into insignificance.

They lool like the real deal. Shame about the weight.

I cannot see any immediate uses for this for us. And it is not markted at us. But can anyone see any way of using it creatively. Every time I getbom board with multiple pickup options I default to the "two pickups on full" option and leave it there.
