1. The Duncan pickup is still here. I am afraid that I would have no use for a 4 string version.
2. The preamp is NOT a Uretro. It is John East's take on a Music Man Pre.
3. Seymour Duncan Basslines SMB 5a. 5 string MM replacement pickup. No funky little lugs on it. £60 http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/bass...smb4a_5a_3coil/ Bartolini drop in replacement for an MTD Heir kind of thing. A huge improvement on the stock pickup. It is for 19mm spacing so will not plumb into a standard MM5. £80 East MM pre-amp, no plate, no knobs. £50 Need them you know you do
4. The gaps would not be an issue because I would need to route it out to fit it so I can have it done properly. It will be pretty large lump of plastic, but I like the idea of a large ramp thing. It is a bass that has been messed with already so resale worries have long ago left the building. That is refreshing in itself
5. I think I managed to answer my own question http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ABS-Project-Box-...=item6d6f45608d I reckon something like this could be pressed into service. Obv using a black one
6. I have a bass which I massively enjoy playing but the pick ups do not do it for me. They are a couple of Music Man-esque humbuckers. I have come to the conclusion that 2 x single coil pickups do it for me. If I take the two humbuckers out then I will be left with a huge gap which will never be filled by 2 smaller pick ups. How could I get a large pick up cover which I could fill with a couple of single coil pick ups and have the middle bit empty but providing a ramp type facility?
7. Bump. Hit me with any trades. I am bored of looking at it.
8. I used to gig with one of these as the bottom end of my rig. Righteous low frequency action.
9. It looks like I misjudged the market on this. It is now ready to go at £620 inc.
10. If you type" smooth and easy transaction" into Google, the first link to come up will be Lee. He is that good
11. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...ill+fitzmaurice This guy might be happy to do the woodwork for you.
12. Croeso o Fangor! Faint o griw BC sydd yn siarad Cymraeg?

14. This is where the tone is. Proper power amps. Until you have tried you have missed out.
15. Essentially because I do not have the money to buy it.
16. Bump cos I would still prefer to sell it here than on ebay
17. 63 P neck on 72 body for £270 in 1997. It played like a dream but our first child was due and I got all sensible.
18. Plays for the song. Leaves space. Lays it down. When the time is right less is more. In U2 that is what works. Stellar gratuitous technique or a musician working in a band context? I know which one I prefer.
19. I'll take the speaker stand. PM me how you want to be paid. Cheers Owen
20. Having thought further, the body is some sort of Warmoth type of aftermarket jobbie. It is solid wood, not ply or made up of 6 pieces of wood. It has a rear control cavity entrance as well as front. If I could justify another jazz I would keep it.
21. RATS! Imagine having a selling point like a Baddass and not mentioning it. What and eejit! It is a baddass. The body is..................... covered in white paint. I honestly have no idea I'm afraid.
22. Here is one I put together using various bits. Japanese Fender Neck. Oly White body - with mojo Tort guard. Dimarzio DP123 J pick ups. It plays well, has the magic F on the headstock (because the neck is) and is yours for £325 to your door. I am selling this for a friend and it is him in the photo. Need it you know you do. 23. The iRealbook app is superb for this, but only if you use a Mac.
24. I do not wish to raise your hopes because I am totally not in the market for a new bass, but these are lush beyond and I NEED to see pics.
