1.
I have tried as a bass rig and it sounds pretty good (and loud - the amp kicks out 1200w into the 4 speakers). Fair amount of gear to lug around as a bass amp though! Andy
Sadly I had even thought my way through that scenario as well! I need to get out more.
2.
I wondered when you'd notice birdy, dad - you're getting slow with age...
Just so that you know your family history, your 15 came from Ari originally. It had a 2x10 brother which went to Garbev.
3. My wife sat next to Frank Carson on a train and had a lovely chat with him. My wife is pretty unaware of lots of things so had no idea who he was and what he did even after he explained that he was in entertainment and on his way to a gig. How we laughed in the next carriage.
4.
Eh? It's not the loudness of it, it's that it didn't give me that stage slam, umph, lowdown dirty groove that 6 speakers in a big cab gives, it sounds fecking amazing though. Jim should have made it a 4x10 @ 4 ohms but it is nice and small and for its size is a giant.
As the more than satisfied owner of the IP310 in question I would agree with Steve. I had an NV610 before this and that had "big space" filling whump. I would happily own both, but that would be silly. The IP has more than enough on stage grunt for most gigs I do, but for really big spaces/outdoor work it needs PA support to fill the space. When all is said and done, it is a 3x10 and physics is physics. It will easily fight and conquer any drummer.
5.
Not loud enough?!?!? Do you have particularly intense volume requirements? Or is it quieter than one might think when fully cranked?
It hurts my ears.
6. Adrenalinn III? Very small, BONKERS effectage should you choose to delve into it.
7. http://www.italiastraps.com/guitar-straps-uk.html Luscious strap-age. White. Suede. Lots of other things. $75 but buy one get one free. Platypus did this and I bought the second one from him. Everyone is happy.
8. I played a GUS bass in a Music Live thing some time ago. It really was very fine indeed. I particularly liked the 5 or 6 (it was a long time ago) way rotary pick up selector/series/parallel thing which although it was a passive bass gave me all sorts of tonal options. I could quite easily live with one.
9. Hmmmmmm... this and Molan's Overwater would keep me content for quite a while. If I had any spare money.
10. Behringer have bought the top live sound desk company Midas.
11. -1 for Interparcel. Arranged a pick up for between 12 and 5.30pm. No pick up. Suckage.
12. I do not really have anything left in a complete set, but what kind of strings are you using at the moment? If you are using a school bass then the strings could be really horrible. Perhaps the £20 set (posted to your door) (sell sell sell) would be an improvement, but I really cannot tell. This might be a help to identify your present strings http://www.quinnviolins.com/qv_stringidsearch.shtml
Hi I have no idea on strings but do you have a set thats good for bowing and orchestral playing. Thanks Sam H
13.
Could I get an idea of how they would feel by de-tuning my bass by a full tone? Cheers.
That would kind of give you the same vibe. How about I send you them on a sale or return basis? If you like them keep them, if not then send them back for a refund, minus postage costs.
14. Some guy on TB sent out a 7 email monster on how to relic. If you (or anyone else for that matter) PM me your email I will forward it on to you. It is full of ideas.
15. Can it model alternative tunings? Could it be fooled into thinking it had a low B even though it was only a low E? Dose that make sense?
16. Do I need a new bass? No. Do I fancy that one? Yes!
17. I have and Adrenalinn III. It is great but a little daunting live because I am a technical numpty. If there is anyone else out there with the same fear, I have just discovered this http://www.eurekasound.com/adrenaprom.html It is an aftermartket eprom which you plug into a Behringer FCB1010 which turns it into a plug and play Adrenalinn controler, complete with glow in the dark stickers. How cool is that?
18. I have a G5 and really like it, but it is pretty fussy about what bass goes in. It rules with my Bongo but is pretty wimpy with my Jazz.
19. Could you give me a nut measurement? Thanks.
