1. I have a totally trashed 73 body and neck + re-issue bits P. All I want is that with a B string grafted on. Is that too much to ask?
2. Someone buy this before I do something REALLY stupid.
3. I do not need a new cab, but if I did I would be all over this like a bad rash. That is a great price for a thumping piece of kit.
4.
mmmm, if i can just hold onto my current 900 and wait a month or two....
I'm in no hurry
5.
Anyone want to buy some testicles. £1,000 each.....
Sorry, no trades.
6. You all know what I am doing here!
7. It's a Lak 55-01 in disguise. Same scale length, same spacing, same electronics, same factory. Half the second hand price. If I had ANY need of another bass this would have been gone the second I saw the advert. If someone bought my Ritter I would probably take this on the re-bound
8. It's a funny old world. If this had any other name on it's headstock then people would be fighting with each other for it at £400. The spec says yes!
9. Sorry, I took my eyes of the ball on this one. I am in North Wales. The spacing feels like a 17mm thing. It is not Lakland wide, but not tight either. I would give measurements, but each string to the next is different. Is it a gimick? I don't know. It is comfortable, but no more or less than a bog standard 17/18mm spacing. It turns out that the Turbo is not blown on the car after all, however the mechanic cannot actually find anything wrong with it. I will leave the sale open for now because I am actually happy with the basses I have and much as I am enjoying the Ritter, I do not NEED it (and liquid assests are always handy
10.
Spotted this and considering knocking up a bass to make use of it. Do I need a special sort of ouput and is there a typical piezo sound? Is it comparable to a pickup position, or really full range and flat?
You need a very specific type of pre amp. Do a search for piezo on the board and the answer will be there. I should be in bed so am signing off, but if you get no joy drop me a PM and I will dig out the posts for you.
11. I have copied and pasted the below from here. http://www.ritter-basses.com/ritter-basses-info.htm I'm afraid that I have no sound samples and no way to create ones at the moment. Sorry. "Over several years of experience with different Players; different in body height and different in playing style, I defined a standard string spacing for all my instruments. This spacing is progressive increasing from the high to the low strings. The spacing is not traditionally measured from mid of each string to mid of each string. On my Bass Guitars the spacing is measured from outer edge to outer edge of each string. This is mathematically not correct, but You have a real better feeling and control while moving with the right hand from string to string. The standard spacings are: " Bridge: 72mm (2,84") The pickups are made out of RARE EARTH magnets. This exclusive powerful material has a very great open sound with a lot of dynamics. The tone development is exceptionally consistent over the whole frequency range. This results in a pure pristine sound. You just hear the tone of the instrument without any pickup interferences. The Pickup Cover is made out of ebony. The Bridge Pickup is inserted at an angle of 3°. The Neck Pickup is inserted at an angle of 7°. This results in a well balanced low-frequency-response of both -thin and thick- strings. 1. Master Volume (Push-Pull Potentiometer to switch between Active Mode and Passive Mode) 2. Pickup Balance 3. Tone Blend (only available in the passive mode) 4. Dual Potentiometer for High Cut and Boost (on Top) and for Mid Cut and Boost (Ring) 4. (only available in active mode) 5. Dual Potentiometer for Bass Cut and Boost (on Top) and Mid Frequency (Ring) 5. (only available in active mode) 7. Output Jack with integrated Power Switch The MASTER ELECTRONICS is powered by 18 V (two 9V batteries). Weight 9Lbs
12. I bought this here recently. My car has blown it's turbo. It now has to go. C'est la vie £2K firm. No trades +£ unless it is for bythesea's Overwater (not that I am stalking it at all!) or poss a pre MM stingray. 13.
Hmmmmmm! Interesting! ;o)
Very occasionaly I play through d&b rigs. I did a function gig once where they had hired in a rig because we said we could not bring our own. We arrived to find a Midas desk and a d&b rig. We had to set it ourselves. Never have I enjoyed such genuine, across the spectrum headroom and clarity for the whole band. When I played louder (5 string DB so I had plenty of dynamic range to play with) it just got louder, but the rest of the mix was not compromised in any way. It was like taking cotton wool out of my ears which I had not realised was there all those years before. And this was with a couple of 12" cabs. I really could not believe what I was hearing. They use their own amps and spk controllers obv. Heinously expensive mind you!

15. Bought 4 CDs from Gnasher1993 - no problems at all - prompt communications and quick delivery. Yer Man's a pleasure to do business with. Thanks AJ. If this looks like a copy and paste, it is. That is because my experience was exactly the same
16. I will take these Radiohead – Pablo Honey The Flaming Lips – At War With The Mystics The Offspring - Greatest Hits Weezer – Make Believe PM me the Paypal details, Thanks. O
17. I have one of these as the front end for my Full Circle Piezo pick on my Double Bass. It makes it sound like I always hoped it would. I cannot reccomend it highly enough.
18.
Exactly the reasons why I would want it
Sell me your Overwater and buy this! I am not stalking you
19.
works just like the boss syb, you have to keep the pedal pressed down. If this defeats the object, then saving for a Boss unit will not serve your purpose, only it will track a hell of a lot better
I was reading that I would need to hold the pedal down for a set time period and felt that a more instantanious effect would be cool. If both are the same but the Boss tracks better (and why would I expect any different) then I will save up..............
20. I have been thinking about the piezo thing a lot recently. I have a bass with a full Fishman setup on it (individual saddles/elements, on board preamp with individual volume pots and a bit of bass EQ) and was thinking about replicating it on something else and then I realised that the main instrument I use a Piezo on (Double Bass) has one element and manages to produce the whole range nicely. I have since bought a £4.99 element with a jack socket on it and intend to mount this in a rough and ready stylee under a bridge and put it into a decent pre-amp to buffer it properly. The Piezo is sitting on my desk and will not happen for at least 4 weeks, but I see no reason why it should not give a decent sound.
