I bought this on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=300285957997#ebayphotohosting) it is more than I need. I'm in it for £60 so if anyone fancies one come and get it, alternatively I can post it Here is the spec from the CP site http://www.cpcases.com/product.asp?productid=31&count=1 £60 + carriage.
Bump
2.
price is 550.00exc delivery.owned for two years gigged only 3 times.using ul310,mistakenly thought i could double up on the cabs.but not advised by epifani, only cus i like to have cab at ear level, cured this by using one cab and amp stand, these cabs are ultra light and powerful by themselves anyway.only selling as im also gigging percussionist, and this is overtaking the bass work.
I do not need your cab, but let me just say that percussion is always the icing on my cake
3.
Should be back in Manchester next week. Can't wait!
GO RAY! GO RAY!
4. I'm sure you have all seen this, it might even be in the thread already, but if not .......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TebUMhJAKSM
5. I played one once. It was very disorientating. I became very light headed and had to sit down.
6. Owen - Buy a gk3b and axon ax100 and you'll be blown away. i am!! I have dabbled with the Roland system but I just could not get with the latency. Does the microkorg have an audio in? IIRC it does.
7.
Sorry Owen, no external audio in. What is it that you would be trying to do? Vocoding? Dan
Putting my bass through it, innit!
8.
I love this bass too but I am six string man at the moment .........
You cannot beat a good bottom F#!
9. I have owned more great basses than I care to admit to publically (Sei, US + Korean Lak, US MTD etc [I have issues!]) The Korean MTD is the most comfortable bass I have ever owned. The neck is a dream. It is as light as a feather. If I could think of a way of justifying this I would, but I am slowly calming down. I no longer own all the aforementioned basses but do own and use regularly my Korean MTD. I cannot say too many good things about these.
10. I have one of these. It is DA BOMB.

12. I love the whole lightweight cab thing - but that is an AWFUL LOT of cab for very few pennies.
13.
The only thing I might suggest is trying to find a similar 88 Stage II as a backup. Never go out with just one instrument. The statistics WILL catch up, sooner or later...
Am I the only person who has never (in 25 years) taken a back up out?
14. I ran into this today. http://www.foldingbass.com/
15.
I don't disagree. Contrary to what a lot of session musicians think, we don't all want to be you!
Sometimes I don't want to be me, so we agree on both points. Feel the love people!
16. I was having more fun than the punters. I also forgot to put my feet down again so landed on my knees, to deafening silence.
17. Reading is cool. It means I get paid. I realise that it is pretty vulgar to talk about money, but.............. you know................. I like to eat and have a warm place to sleep. "I want to be an actor" "Here is the script" "No, it's cool, just give me the DVD, I'll pick it up"
18. D'OH! EMG 45 TW pick ups they are!
19. Have you categorically eliminated the fact that the wiring and/or the pots are fully functional and everything is soldered where it should be? I have not been able to ascertain whether all the kit is fully functional, because for me basses are like cars. When they work I use them. When they do not I pay someone to make them work. The guy who has been working on it has confirmed that the bridge pick-up is fine and dandy, but that the neck one is dodgy - he is guessing at some sort of damage to the earth. However he has had it for a LONG time and is fed up of looking at it so I am now turning to the oracles of all things tech I don't know the EMG range that well but a way to check this might be to insert and wire the pups in the other way around If I did this myself, the only guaranteed info I could come up with is that soldering irons hurt when you touch them with your fingers. I cuould just buy a new neck pick up. I could get Wizard to make me a pair of something lovely. I am just too tight to spend if I can mend.
20.
I've already been in touch with owen about this, but for the benefit of others, I've had an EMG 40J go tits up like this - very weak signal. It was - in fact - knackered!
He has. The man is a star. You are probably right However, I don't understand why it functions fine when both are on. However, I am easily confused!
21. I have a pair of EMG DC45 pick ups, bought 2nd hand from the US back when we had some purchasing power. I am having a nightmare getting them to function. The bridge one works fine. When bridge and neck are on they work fine. When neck is on it's own it is the smallest nastiest sound ever, it sounds like bleed from another channel on a desk. I am open to the fact that it is knackered, but just wondered if anyone could throw some light on the situation before I spend more money getting my local guitar emporia to not get them working, again. TIA as usual in these circumstances. Owen
22. I saw a Gibson ES175 bass in The Gallery years ago. It was a thing of beauty.
23. For what it's worth, I use a Mackie SRM350 + A.N.Other preamp as a portable rig. It really kicks it out and is a fabulous piece of kit. Obv it will not fight with a full drum kit being hammered on it's own, but it is remarkably beefy. I do not know the seller.
