I guess that the good bit for overdrive would be that the EQ is programmable and has moveable EQ points. I really cannot remember much more about the unit as far as overdrive goes. It has 1 if not 2 programmable FX loops but they were pretty noisy on mine. Not much info, but as much as I can usefully give. I can only imagine that they would be dirt cheao by now.

I use Jazz rounds. They are THE BOMB. For me. YMMV.

The Marcus Miller comment was interesting and crystalises why the top players always work and get paid top dollar. I have been around people (John Parricelli - guitarist, being the best) who can sight read the most obscene fly s***t on paper and make it sound like they have been honing that piece for years. It was a humbling experience. My reading is good, but I realised that I was in the presence of real quality. Interstingly, the better the player the less you are aware of it until they actually play.

They are paying. If they are stupid enough to spend half an hour fixing something which would be a 30 second drop, more fool them. As long as the cash is good they can do what they like. If they like what you do and you deliver what they need they will use you again. It's a job.

I followed the recent F0 thread and it was probably that which got me thinking about scale length again. It would not be a ridiculously long scale bass. It would be the same as the Double Bass I have been playing for the last 27 years. My left and right hand techniques are ready to go. The amplification is not an issue because it would be used with PA support. I'm certainly not going to be hefting fridges around with me. One of my questions would be are there going to be obvious intonation issues with a fretted instrument with a mahoosive scale length? knuckleguitarworks seem to have it going on.
