1. My friend has a TRB 5 and his pre amp is quite noisy. Is this par for the course?
 2. Sold Thanks to all who showed interest.
 3. I played a 2x12 Tech cab at the bassbash and it was bonkers (in a good way).
 4. I fancy Steve's IP310 so I'm seeing if anyone wants this. I will not be gutted if it does not go, but if it does that will be cool. IF Steve sells his then I shall withdraw this. £800 no trades, no offers. 12" + horn. 500W active cab with onboard DSP for flat response and speaker protection compression/limiting. 1000W if you plug in an 8Ohm extension speaker. Cover and all the leads to connect the pre-amp of your choice. Want it you know you do.
 5. Sold pending etc

It's been on the site for about 4 weeks and I'm surprised it's still there!
Thanks, I had clocked that. I think the GAS is subsiding, but it was powerful last night!
A couple of years ago there was an MB2 at the Bass Gallery. Don't know if its still there. I tried it and was a bit disappointed. It had neck dive and didn't feel comfortable at all. The Deep 5 looks interesting though! There is a Mouse 30 on the Bass North West site. Rob Allen owners don't seem to part with their basses!!
Cannot find the Mouse on BassNW. Where is it hiding? Ta!
 8. Mmmmmm........... short scale goodness www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6oApthi3VQ 30"
 9. I am experiencing really bad Rob Allen GAS. http://www.roballenguitars.com/ Either a Mouse 30 or a Deep 5. Does anyone know if there are any accessible in the UK. It is a lot of money to drop on an unknown quantity - but, OH!, how lush are they?
 10.
Ok, mrs PTB just txt me whilst in Paris (the trip I was gonna go on, but can't cos of the layoffs) to tell me the mate she's staying with has managed to get VIP tickets to Madge's gig in Paris tomorrow night. These include VIP dinner, cocktails, the works, and I'm gutted to say the least ! I was just wondering who's got the gig on bass? Perhaps she can use her feminine charms to get me some free stuff *spelling edit*
I have no idea, but it used to be Darryl Jones. Mr Jones was killing time on a gig in Chicago and went to a local guitar emporium. He picked up a bass and started playing. The sales guy came up to him and started giving him all the chat, showing him all his best sales licks etc. and eventually asked if he played in any bands. Mr Jones told him what his gig was. Sales guy went very quiet and moved away.
 11. I had been thinking about the "taking a double seat" scenario, but am unsure about how much headroom there is for the neck. I used to carry my DB on the train all the time, but I carried my NS5 in a large case last year and got so much grief from the train manager it was not true. I guess that I shall just risk it. I will look pretty stupid if they say no!
 12. I need to carry my Double B on the train at the end of Nov. I'm in North Wales and have a gig in London and really cannot be doing with the drive. I cannot get Virgin rail or my local station to give me a straight answer as to whether I can carry my bass on the train. I have booked a bike slot for it, but NEED to know before I get to the station if I will be allowed to carry it. Does anyone know where I should ask or have any experience here? TIA
 13.
Dont suppose you'd know how it compares to the a designs reddi or tab v71 by any chance?? Cheers Pete
The harsh reality is that I don't know. I realise that I'm not selling it well based on your Q, but there is so much rubbish spoken on the WWW using words like "killer tone" etc that I am trying to avoid getting dragged into the hyperbole. I had a look at both the units you mentioned. The review on the REDDI seemed to point towards a sound character which helps everything sit very well in a mix with no further treatment. This is more about providing a full range sound with a sublte sheen to it. The Tab v71 looks to be modelled on Telefunken kit which is very sought after as well. I could not find any reviews. The Summit sounds as nice as my Demeter, but the Demeter has a parametric on it which I need for a Double Bass with a boomy Bb. If it was not for needing EQ then I would keep it and not have to lug a 19" rack around. I'm sure there must be forums around which would be able to give you more informed information.

 18.
That's some tight string spacing right there. Do you think it was always a 5-string?
New and made in China so I guess it has always been 5.
