1. So we are talking (in a good way, obv) "I seem to have travelled back in time and my bass is making a dull kind of 'thunk' sound" here. I am not trying to de-rail the thread, I really do mean that as a compliment.

I know that there are people out there denying their lust for this bass. Don't fight it people. Want it you know you do.
  8.
Oh if only this was a UL502....unfortunately it's probably a bit over the top for me too.
More is more. You knows it.
  9.
possible silly question, but do you know how the volume knob/battery/pickup would connect up??
I know how to put a jack plug into my bass. Anything more than that and I have to pay someone. Sorry, I have no idea!
  10.
Hey, sorry I dont normally do forums and stuff. What else should I have added?
£?
  11. East MM Bass + Treble I bought this from OBBM when it came up an hour after I had decided to buy an ACG/East pre. Dave was selling it for a price I could not turn down. You know how GAS is. However I have decided to go the whole hog and get an ACG so this is going back out. I paid £45 inc shipping so it is yours for the same. Original thread http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=36726&hl= Want it you know you do.
  12. Yep that works, thanks for your work. Unfortunately it has confirmed that I need one as well.
  13. I had them build me a bass years ago, and everytime I phoned for 5 years after Martin greeted me by name on the phone. I went down and left my wife in Camden market - she got bored and followed me to the Gallery. Martin made her a coffee sat her down in a corner. She loves it there too They no longer get my business because I have a OCD level of checking the for sale forums here, but if I need to buy new then it's to them I go.
  14.
I honestly can't remember! I know I paid a bit extra for a solid top if that helps? Owen - great tip on selling the case. I only ever use the soft padded case, so may well follow your student's precedent and put the hard case on e-bay.
If you need cardboard to ship it then go to Halfords - they love getting rid of bike boxes.
  15.
They are working okay, just checked. They may take a while. Has anyone else had problems. Any recommendations for a better sound file host? Peter
It's been connecting for 30 mins for me now It is probabaly just me. Ho hum.
  16.
'69 sold. '73 fretless will stay or go depending on how i get on with the Wal (although there are two buyers lined up). 17. I am VERY interested in this, but the links do not actually load to sound. Is it me? Is it something I said?
  18. I have had 3 through my hands for pupils. New strings and a lower bridge and they are great. The first student even sold her hard case for £180 on Ebay. Will you be playing the classical solo repertoire on one in a nearby concert hall soon? No. Will it go Thud/thump/growl for all other types of music? Yes. Two have been ply and one has been solid. Figure in the price of a pick up and you are good to go.
  19. I'll take the La Bellas and the older Thoms if they are still there. Paypal?
It's time to clear out the string drawer (again)!
