I dropped mine decades ago when my carrying strap broke. I had always begrudged paying insurance. Suddenly it was a VERY GOOD THING.

I put some nicer humbuckers in it. Can I remember what they are? Not really. But I know what good pickups are and I know I would not buy not good 2nd hand ones. It has it's fair share of knocks, but the price is good. Priced to your door. Obv I will cut off the string ends -

Find the Fingerstyle Funk vids by Rocco Prestia. Problem solved. Also, I have found that holding a pencil in your plucking hand fist with your 3rd and 4th fingers enables some people (me included) to get more control on your 1st and 2nd fingers.

I had this very conversation the other day with my home insurers. They were happy to put my kit on my home policy but they had to be counted within my overal contents policy. So if my contents were insured for £100 and I told them my 17th Century Double Bass was worth £80 then the rest of my contents would only be insured to the value of £20. Obv, these are not proper numbers. Sadly, I also need to rethink my insurance policies.

Thanks. They are the orginal pots and I have no reason to believe that the wiring has been put back wrongly. However, I have a recognised history of sorting out problems by changing something that had nothing to do with the problem. Then still having the problem and also a new part I did not need to spend money on.

That truss rod cover (which I never look at) is aesthetically displeasing.

My L1000 has had some work done. I suspect the pickup needs a rewind. But could someone confirm the control plate wiring is as it should be? TIA

Thanks. I was struggling to make sense of them. It is a bolt on. I am not together enough as a guitarist for it to make a blind bit of difference. But it was strange to look at.
