badump! please, dear god, someone snap these up! and again - shoot me an offer! would p/x for bass head!
I am not in the market for these, but if I was then I would still not consider them because I cannot get to Swansea to pick them up. If you were willing to pack them in old TV or Fridge boxes cut down to shape then I'm sure people would be happy to arrange a courier if they were after this kind of set up. Not trying to be snotty, just trying to help.

  3. I have a 4 Ohm one that I'm looking at shifting. It has an Epifani cover and I'm looking for £650 + shipping at cost for it. I have the original box. I bought it new and have gigged it maybe 15 times.
  4.
why would you want to do that???
Why wouldn't you? Low is good - lower is better!
  5. Undoubtedly very fine. Personally I could not get with the stark white binding on the neck and the pointy bit at bottom horn of the scratch plate. It did not go well with the bottom horn of the bass. I DO realise that I am extraordinarily shallow. The black sparkly with matching headstock was very fine indeed. I could not get on with the body shape. I guess that I am too old to change. Why did I sell 2 x JO5s? Still not sure.

If you can't say something positive then kindly f*** off.
I'm Owen and I wandered in uninvited. It was just a light comment. Did not mean any malice. Apologies if it seemed as if I did. My student is LOVING your GK 2x12. I am looking forward to trying it as well!
ive had the bass for about 7 months now and its been great but ive left the band i was playing in and as you know when a musician finds a new piece of kit they want they need to sell what they got i can have pictures up if anyone wants them, its in mint condition bought it from thomman.de for round 240-250 am willing to sell it for 160-150 but i cant go any lower and if anyone else is intrested i got a wawrick sonic 3 head (150 watts) but theres a buzz im sure its a blown transistor but i have that for sale as well as a home made cab built by my old music course tutor if anyone has an offer for them
Mr Durka, I think there are 2 of us who could drive by Pentraeth to pick this up and we are already bassed up to the max. I'm guessing that more people would look if you were willing to put it on a courier. I have boxes and stuff and I can do it from work. Let me know. FWIW the home made cab is a JBL design for a JBL 2226 which is what it is loaded with. It's good for 600W RMS.
  9. It's back. Smells of scam to me. ALL his feedbacks are for 0.01 cent items.
  10.
Yep it's the Long one !! I'm 6'2 and 18st !! LOL !!
PM
  11.
What a Deal !!!!
Never could resist a deal! If the strap is the long one then I will take the lot. If not then I'm sure it will be gone within the hour.
  12. I would grab my double bass. I have been DB GAS free for 18 years. I cannot see myself with any other one ever. It's a shame that the same could not be said for my bass guitar obsession.
  13. It's for church. High volume is not really an issue
  14. I need to mic up a couple of Violins. I'm looking for clip on mics rather than mics on stands. Any suggestions? TIA
  15.
Thanks jean - Luc - I thought about one but it's a lot of money to pay for freedom (what price freedom eh??!!) Daf - I've put the strings on and gigged them - I thought - reading other posts - that 'real' double bass strings would make a world of difference - they are better, but not as much better as I thought they would be. Having said that - for arco, they're much better - with the NS strings the bow kept 'snagging'. I really appreciate your recommendation however - I do prefer the corelli strings over the NS so I'm pleased I bought them.
It could help to adjust the action on the NS. Mine turned from a big fretless bass into an OK substitute for a double bass when it is just impossible to get to the gig with a double bass, with a few turns of an allen key to raise the bridge.
  16.
You can even unplug your bass, walk off stage, get some food or a drink, come back, plug your bass back in and start playing again......... Not sure who'd want to do that.
I'ts unlikely that my keyboard player would notice
  17.
and it also has a note extender, which can hold a note forever if you so wish.
Hmmmmm........... bring it in on Monday. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.......................

    SVT v DB750

I have always used a ported cab. I did some gigs over the summer where backline was provided. Ampeg SVT rig. Was it lush? Was it ever! I realise that it is not Hi-Fi and all that, but it did it for me. Do I want to carry a fridge around with me? No. I know that the 810 does not go down as low as "all that", but the whole rig had a certain je ne sais quoi (sp?) that I can't seem to let go of. It had a real punch to it. I know there was a huge valve amp with massive headroom pumping out creamy valve goodness on top of it. How good an imitation of an SVT stack does a Berg 610 + Aguilar DB750 do? I know only my ears can tell me. I do not live anywhere near anywhere that will have anything like this in stock and this is just a sort of preliminary musiing.
  22.
why do people have such an aversion to putting "asking prices" on this bleedin' forum!!! How can you expect interest if you dont say how much youre after? Jeez.....
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23.
Woah, nearly 4 grand for a case. Methinks perhaps only worth it if the instrument is something extremely rare and worth about 10k +
Easily done with a violin!
