This is the advice you are looking for. I am biased and love my MTD Kinsgton. But that aside, it has hit it's resale floor and it will be an easy way to get your money out again if 5 is not for you. I know we all dream that we will bond with THE ONE but the reality is that what we are looking for changes and not taking a huge 40% hit on money in an instrument is a very good thing. Preamp yes or no? As soon as the drummer and guitarmageddon kick in, no one is going to be saying "dude, you tone was speaking to me. Your subtle lift at 2Khz let me see into your soul." More bass? Yes. More treble? Yes. Less of both? Yes. I am aware that this is a contentious opinion.

I am guessing this is where the Yamaha bods hang out. I have a 5 string BB425 (I think) and would love a chrome control plate like the one in this picture because you can never have enough chrome. Does anyone have any idea where I might buy one? Google has given me somewhere in Indonesia which is entirely cool, but I was wondering about somewhere closer?

Thanks, I am actually looking for software to broadcast services. Zoom is fine because it is ubiquitous so not an issue for our more mature members. But the audio is driving me nuts. I have tried the bonkers compression/limiting, but that has not made it better. It is possible that the audio is dodgy throughout but not showing so on spoken word.

It is a pedalboard thang which came with a bunch of George L cables. Ta.

Sadly, they were all ticked. Does anyone have any suggestions for web based online video meeting portals which are not Zoom? Google Meet is ok on computer without a google account but needs a google account for phone/tablet access.

I have a 36" scale 6 string strung with a bottom F# which is a tone above E0. It is epic for the end of songs to play the octave below. It is also great to be able to play the 4th below as an upbeat to the root of the chord on the B string. Having a 6th string makes my brain melt, but that is a different problem.
