  1. I have been holding my breath, but feel that I am about to burst.....
  2. I have owned one. I sold it, cos I NEEDED something else. We all know how it is. I really enjoyed it. I would probably not sell it if I still owned it. Tone wise, it sounds like a bass guitar. As a DB player, what I hugely enjoyed was the right hand articulation. There is something about my hand falling in that way which feels very much like home. Would I buy another? Possibly yes, but the prices are significant. But then the prices for anything new are significant by now. I remember all this when it was fields.
  3. Please do not read anything into this statement other than my massive appreciation for Chad Smith. Any band with Chad Smith in it is going to be cooking on gas.
  4. I teach on a Music Tech course. One of the activities is letting our DJs loose on the lunchtime crowd in the canteen. We leave the PA system up there (QSC KW122 and KW181 Sub) and part of the activity is for them to rig it, run it and de-rig it. Sometimes I wander past the canteen when they are doing a set. It is fair to say that they have not yet grasped the concept of sub not overpowering the tops
  5. I am looking forward to those
  6. It is just like eavesdropping on a friendly chat by people who know what they are talking about.
  7. Sorry Mike, but you are not dealing with facts here. 2005 cannot possibly be 19 years ago.

  9. This is not aimed at the OP or anyone who has responded. I bang on about this every time this topic comes up. I wish someone had in the early 80s when I was laying the foundations of my hearing problems. You can experiment with systems which are not moulded. But why bother? I would sell all my basses and associated kit if I could buy new ears. I cannot. If £150 is more than you can afford, then that is fair enough. But if it is remotely affordable, or you have to save up for a few months then do it. Get them with a lanyard in them. Get them in a lurid colour so that when you drop them you can find them. If you really want to treat yourself then get some of their sleeping ones at the same time. Complete game changers. But do not skimp on your ears. Ever.
  10. Overwater vibes. In a good way.
  11. Keep us posted. I had a Meatbox and just could not work out how to incorporate it without hurting people. I never reached to using it subtly phase. I am interested.
  12. I would also be looking at power, but also looking at what it is hooked up to at the other end? DI into a PA system? All sorts of earth loop things to mess up there.
  13. There is nothing like great relicing, and that is nothing like great relicing. I am fully aware that proper wear is even better, but that would spoil the flow of my post.
  14. Who would find themselves in such a situation?
  15. I am not a 4 string bloke so I am safe. But G&L's trans orange is lush!
  16. I was mentally giving you top marks for picture placement. It led me through the story but kept me engaged all the way until the big reveal at the end! It is a nice looking bass.
  17. 30m! OK that changes things on the 'just run a cable' front A second-hand monitor on FB marketplace which will be fine and dandy for this purpose will be £40.
  18. If the iPad and the Mac are on the same wifi network then you can turn the iPad into a Logic remote control and put everything straight into Logic. All you will need is a cable long enough to go from the interface in the 'studio room' to wherever the Mac is. Recording things in two different places and then transferring them to the mixing computer is just creating work which does not need to happen.
