Final piece of advice, make sure you get the impressions done with a thing that keeps your mouth open. I was on my 4th set before I learnt about this. It gives a much better seal.

Yep, I was just mourning the fact that my loud days were too LOUD and that I can no longer do those. But I can still do deep.

My hearing is too compromised to get excited about loud any more. But deep is The Bomb. I had an ACME 12" which was appreciably bigger than the "standard" 12" cabs. It went beatifully deep.

Just for ABSOLUTE clarity, the irony was that women are outnumbered by men in bass-dom but all my best pupils were women. Nothing else. Shout out to Allison, Rhiannon, Sara, Anita and Katie, in no particular order.

M'eshell is as good as it gets on bass. Ironically, when I was doing lessons the girls were always better than the boys. My top 5 pupils would all have been girls.
