  1. You can check out, but you can never leave.
  2. Fretless is gone...........
  3. Just done some soundclips if anyone wants them. Some one remind me why I am selling these. They are doing all I want. Other than those low notes
  4. Fretless is a 64 one. Bare Knuckle pickups. Ebony Board Fretted is 62. Again, with Bare Knuckle pickups.
  5. Not yet, but will do some. I will not post them up here but do them in a PM. The world does not need to hear my fretless playing!
  6. You mean the fretless with the Ebony board? Yep, it is a nice one.
  7. The fretless has come out more "blue" than it is in real life. It is a much more delicate shade.
  8. The only trade I would be interested in would be a 5 string Bravewood Jazz. And we all know that they do not exist
  9. I have 2 Bravewood Jazz basses. They are lovely. I also have a 66J. They are as lovely as that one. If I played 4 stringers I would keep them. I have come to the conclusion that I will never reach for a 4 string when I have a 5 string option. So I would be keeping the Bravewoods just to look at them. Don't misunderstand me, I AM that shallow, but I am trying to be realistic. I could go on and on, but they are what they are. Proper lush. That is what they are. Obv it is £1.5K each. Just incase anyone gets excited.
  10. In my situation, I am struggling to get enough gain before feedback. I am cutting frequencies but having to cut too much for clarity. It is possible that it would work well in another situation. However, for mine it is not so great.
  11. I have exported to the US in the past. No probs as long as it is packed for courier handling, insured, and the reciever is fully aware that taxes going in are their responsibility. It is going to add a pretty penny to the price tag though.
  12. Ultimately, something will need to change. Is that cool? Nope. Is making it worse avoidable? Yes. Will you look back as a 70 year old with screaming tinnitus and think "yeah, gigging, totally worth it"? Only you can answer that. For me, the joy of playing unprotected dissapears as soon as I realise that I have upped my Tinnitus by a notch.
  13. BAN THIS SICK FILTH!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a joke. Sometimes it is pick o'clock and I will use a pick.
  14. I am using a head mic for the preacher in Church. The actual mic is not really pushing past the middle of their left cheek. This does not make for a really good sound source. Can anyone suggest what the good ones which do not cost hudereds are? It is going into a decent AKG Transmitter/Receiver so that is not the issue. TIA
  15. Mine is beginning to get to a stage where I am wondering about making significant changes. I do not want to make significant changes, but I am wondering if I have a choice. It is getting worse. It is in no way life changingly bad, but I can see reaching a stage where I would change things in retrospect, and it makes sense to actually make the changes now.
  16. Modern PA speakers have all sorts of jiggery-pokery going on in the backround. This is why they are lovely. My ears are too trashed to do loud anymore. I own a QSC K10.2. It goes all the way to the bottom and is very pokey. It is the future. If I needed more then I would borrow two QSC K12.2. I cannot imagine ever, ever needing more unless I was doing a large, open air gig with no PA support. And that is never going to happen. We have arrived in the future.
  17. I played a CLF L1000 in the Bass Bash a few weeks ago. It was exceptionally fine. All that chromage is yummy.
  18. Some people do not deserve nice things!
  19. Thanks WHUFC. There will be very little DIY happening, but what builders recommend is often what they have in stock or already know so we are looking for the correct ideas rather than what is right for the builder.
  20. There will be recorder lessons as well. The roof is board and felt.
  21. The instruments being taught will be piano and violin. There will be no rock and roll volume happening. It is in a residential area and the sound treatment is to minimise sound leakage which would disturb neighbours.
