  1. I have a friend who just asked this question. I have no idea. Anyone? "I have a mid 90s TRB5ii. It has a scalloped lower horn and I've been unable to find photos or listings of any others like it. Were ones with this feature only available for a limited time period?"
  2. What you were trying to type was "utterly useless Jazz pickup". That close to the bridge and a single coil. What were they thinking? Now I am thinking "what is the absolute beefiest pickup I could disguise as a Jazz single coil to actually make it useful?".
  3. Filth. Body and neck 73, pickups by bloke who used to wind them for Chris Rea, hardware off here and Spitfire scratchplate. The scratchplate was slightly too reliced so I cleaned it. The white ply needs taming a bit. It has only been on the to do list for 8 years.
  4. I often tell myself that if you wait for long enough absolutlely everything will float throught the FS forums on here. This lovely 73 "A" neck with authentic 70's brass nut came up years ago and it is a very lovely thing.
  5. In my experience a brass nut makes up for less heft from a skinny neck.
  6. Bo Diddley bass. I love it.
  7. Should we be going for a Welsh language Sub-Forum?
  8. To be fair, I will give you the blurb for the pedal. In the final stages of planning Blewog . A fuzzy muff (), the circuit is a faithful recreation of the Pete Cornish G2, famously used by David Gilmour and many others. These will be premium builds. Gorva Designs’ gorgeous S90 enclosure, Gorva Designs soft click Mechano foot switch, genuine Russian D9E Germanium and Rectron Schottky diodes, Yageo resistors, Wima, Kemet, Vishay, Nichicon and Panasonic capacitors, Alpha pots and Neutrik or Switchcraft sockets. The only deviation from the original circuit is the addition of an internal switch to select between the Cornish buffered bypass or true bypass. All the decals will be hand formed from copper wire. The photo is only a mock-up, so the final design may change. https://www.facebook.com/stomps.ynys.mon/photos/a.122290336269845/278221294010081/

  12. Oooh! Oooh! I will buy all the little Ukes!
  13. Hi all, I have a student who's thing is modding the electrics in guitars and building pedals. Does anyone know of any formal courses he could do which would float his boat? TIA
  14. Thanks all. I have deleted stuff. BRX, what site are you using to host? I used to use something but it went belly up. Ta.

Am I the only one seeing a four eyed robot smiling at me?
  16. Yes please on the Powerplay. pm me your prefered choice of payment.
  17. I seem to have hit the buffers in uploading pictures. I have run out of space. Any idea what I do next? I am loath to take down stuff because it makes me sad when people do that and I want to look at them for some reason. I suppose I can go back to hosting them externally, but I thought that was over in the Brave New Basschat World. While I am at it, I wish Grammarly worked on here, it would save me editing eveything I write.
  18. I have learnt many things during lockdown. One of those is that Izotope RX8 Audio Editor can do fantastic things to the videos recorded in kitchens which people insist on sending to me as their contributions to online church every week. It can make it sound like something that was at least not recorded in a reverberant kitchen - in a really good way.
  19. At a guess this might be him http://www.richardfayswirls.com/ I have toyed with the idea of white with swirls of royal blue.
  20. Given where this bass is at the moment and the attention it is receiving, it still has a fighting chance.
