  1. they appear to use the same couriers as Parcel2Go. I assume they’ve set up a ‘deal’ for compensation. Word of warning from experience…..using the online company Parcel2Go that gives quotes for UPS DHL etc presented problems with a loss in transit of my goods. Parcel2Go finally explained after a week that I should be getting in touch directly with the courier I’d chosen and that they had nothing to do with it! I finally found my item stuck in a warehouse just a few miles from its original postal area.
  2. I have KRK -KNS-8400. They have an inline volume control, didnt think they'd be good to use but I'm actually okay with them for listening and recording bass onto iMac/Logic.
  3. From experience…..you can get past ground staff but they are often the same ones at the check in dock station at the plane’s gate, if they’ve already warned you once they’ll get ya at the plane.
  4. Mart3442… excellent dealing with Mart, paid on the spot and kept in touch until final delivery, cheers Mart.
  5. I used to always carry my bass in a soft case on all U.K. flights to Europe….the first airline to start questioning was Easy Jet!
  6. Quite right…pay for the sear and get two meals 😁
  7. I think it’s safest to call the airline you will be travelling on, I would think it’s possible, just let other passengers know you’ve paid for the seat!…….(Many years ago I was reading a Rufus Reid book of music that included travelling with double bass and sure enough, he had pictures of his bass on a plane seat, upside down with the neck towards the floor).
  8. I think 10k pots are ‘usually’ used for active circuits and 250k for passive for pan controls……maybe don’t have a tone pot and go straight from the pickups?
  9. Mart has offered to buy this so holding for him at the moment…
  10. The bass body and bridge are sold. I might be putting up the pickups and Stellatone another time as separate items. Anyone interested in this body for a project? This was originally for a 33" fretted scale bass I'd made a couple of years ago but the neck would not settle, I even moved the bridge back a little at one point to try and compensate but to no avail, scrapped the neck, expensive choice! This body is of three piece ash with around 10 coats of Tru Oil with tru oil sealer, it does have a few minor marks which can be finely sanded back and re-oiled if you wanted. I am leaving the rear string ferrules, Warwick pickup screws and inserts (see pic) and small brass neck screw cups. The rear round plate does not have internal screw supports as I was going to replace them with some wenge but never got around to it. (If you were interested in the bridge and pickups and Stellatone with the body please add that in your pm/message and we can look into those extras). I've got close approx of weight and size as: Weight 1.8kg Length 46cm Width 31cm thick 39/40cm I'm guessing postage will be anything around £10-15 UK TBC. The sound clip was with a volume control and a Stellatone T6 tone control unit which is actually a pretty good alternative to a simple tone knob (I can provide that as well). 12. A sample of varying settings off the pedal....like any pedal, a learning curve!
  13. Y Y Top.mp3 Herein a sample of what the pedal does to a bass! Straight input to Logic via iMac.
  14. Price includes UK post. Used at home a couple of times only.....I can't find the box will have another look (in the dreaded garage!). Here is TC's blurb DARK MATTER is the kind of pedal that you wanna go play for half an hour and end up spending half a day with. It’s musical, covers a super-wide range of sounds but stays true to its base, an all analog-drive circuit that reminisces plexi sounds with both a classic and modern edge. DARK MATTER delivers in spades thanks to a very low compression and a lively response that reacts to your playing at every turn. • Vintage-voiced distortion with extreme dynamic range • 2 band EQ • Voicing switch
  15. Sold pending the usual. I have a Markbass DI box used on a tour about five years ago and did the job very well. Best described by the manual here rather than me trying to sound lucid! Price will be plus postage for whatever that will be, maybe around £3-6 so if any interested person pm'd me I can let you know a better postage price.

  16. SOLD . Now £40 Tribal Planet case, the semi hard shell case type, I can’t remember using this but it has somehow sustained superfluous damage with one half broken zipper tag and the inner patch where the bridge situates I’ve found is torn…..I’m wondering if I lent it out some time ago and never checked it on return. All in all it’s in very good condition. I don’t think these are made anymore. You can collect from me or sort postage (from your end) and I’ll send weight and sizes….I can then take the case packaged if needed to a local drop off place like Parcel Force/Evri/UPS in my area….I don’t know what post cost would be so message me if you are interested.
  17. Why not the Shure Beta 58…..two girls I work with really like it over their Sm58. I think you can get them for a bit over £100 but….do make sure it’s a genuine one, Shure are one of the most faked mics about.
  18. I’ve just completed buying an amp off Chris and very easy it was too. He answered messages very quickly and was great to deal with in all aspects of the dealings and my arrangement for collection from him. Cheers Chris.
  19. There is a delay from power/switching on to signal path open on MB amps but I’m not sure why it would differ between amps.
  20. I had that (almost) exact same reason given by Prudential many years ago “the reason we won’t insure you as a musician is you might be driving Boy George and have an accident etc etc “ it’s all codswallop.
  21. It’s tough finding an insurer…(the Musicians Union will have a company they use if you can find out?) l left my broker after many years as he was getting some silly prices each year to the point where I’d had enough. My wife, being a teacher had her Teachers Union advising use of Aviva. We insured her car as the first and me, as a musician as the second and it was accepted and was half the price of the old broker cost. Look at www.musicguard.co.uk Also if you are in or join the Musicians Union you can get free insurance to £2000.
