  1. I do often think that selling my Manta was foolhardy. Thankfully they can be bought used for reasonable pennies!
  2. Get on the phone to EHX! Actually, better yet, @Chownybass? If a Wah pedal is in the works any time soon...?
  3. Ha! I like that alot
  4. Any time. To be fair it was a toss up between piggy bank and Peppa Pig for me. I went with what I assumed to be the lesser of two shames
  5. A very intriguing selection of toys! Are they UK based? It’s hard to tell from the website.
  6. This is an excellent pair. GLWTS
  7. That is some grimace-worthy small print.
  8. Oh no, that would just be greedy!

  10. Sign me up for anything in Tidepool. Beautiful colour!
  11. True. As long as players are willing to spend several hundred pounds on an analogue drive pedal (for example) which cost all of £19.50 to make, existing pedal builders will have no reason to move to digital tech.
  12. All this wordplay truly warms my cockles.
  13. This. It’s certainly nice to watch the evolution of a “budget” bass as it blossoms into a beautiful butterfly!
  14. Yup. The Gallery in Camden and Wunjo Guitars on Denmark Street cover a lot of ground as they both have quite a lot of stock and pretty broad selections. Something for everyone in these two shops! The guys in Wunjo in particular have bent over backwards to help me out on a few occasions. They’ll often do deals on things too. The Gallery probably leans more toward the “boutique” end of the spectrum. Also, the staff in both establishments are friendly and happy to let you try stuff out. Don’t be afraid to ask!
  15. I’m very much in this camp, however taking a closer look at the Helix family in particular has made me realise that Yamaha/Line 6 put a LOT of work into creating a user interface which is almost as simple to use as individual pedals. I’ve watched several demo videos where the “presenter” has just received the unit and is effectively working it out on the fly, yet they are able to set up patches quickly because it’s just so intuitively laid out. To be fair it’s never going to be as simple as a small board with a handful of analog pedals, or something like a Tech21 Fly Rig, but that isn’t an apples to apples comparison. To be able to match what the Helix (and similar systems like Headrush etc) can do in terms of number of available effects, routing options, inputs/outputs, you’d need a board the size of a dining room table for six. Example provided below
  16. Good lord. Another stunning example of Alan’s work!
  17. +1. I love a bit of Indian Yanny.

  19. @Quatschmacher, @Cuzzie The blender??
  20. This build is all kinds of beautiful! What was total build time? Looks like somewhere in the region of 4 1/2 months judging by the posts?
  21. Having just seen this thread I’m thinking along the same lines as you @ped! Really, really lovely work @Jabba_the_gut
