Gator make excellent bags of various sizes. I use one designed for the Behringer x-air mixers as a “pedalboard first aid kit”. Holds my spare patch leads, power cables, velcro, cable ties etc. It feels really well constructed and was really reasonably priced.

Indeed. Although this depends on the size of the room being played. But then for huge rooms one would hope for a dedicated sound engineer...

The jaguar is pretty much a Jazz shape but with circumcised horns. So almost any bass case will fit since most bass case manufacturers assume you’re using either a Precision or a Jazz. Mono are great but expensive. Fusion are just as great and less expensive. Same for Protection Racket, Gruv Gear and Reunion Blues. They all make cases which are kind of hybrids between hard cases and soft cases. Close to the protection of hard cases but with much of the practicality of soft cases.

Definitely helps if you’re running your bass wireless...that way you can wander out front and get a feel for what you sound like from the audience’s perspective. Saves a lot of guesswork.

How’s the tension/stiffness with the adagios? Do you want a darker tone or a brighter tone than what they’re currently giving you?

They also have a number of completely unique body shapes such as the Classic, Basic and 48. @xgsjx, where are you based? A trip to BassDirect in Warwick or The Bass Gallery in London will answer a lot of your questions and be a ton of fun too.

‘Tis true, the string spacing at the bridge can be adjusted between 18 - 19.5mm. The nut width on Sandberg’s 5 stringers tend to be 45mm. Not what I would call particularly wide. And my Electra VS4 has a “jazz-esque” neck which feels pretty damn narrow at the nut!

@Al Krow the Dunlop Flats I put on my VM5 are glorious! Just spent a few solid hours jamming and I’m loving em. Definitely worth getting a set.

Good news. One of the folks over on Talkbass has said: ”I asked TC Electronics about custom TonePrints with the Spectradrive. They plan to make the Spectradrive work with the Editor, but are having technical problems. They’re working on it.”

That compressor does look like a beast to be fair. I know I’d love it but I can’t justify the expense or the pedalboard real estate!
