  1. Well there we go - I much preferred the smoothness of the Okto! Just seems more controllable, which I like a lot. I’m not a dirt connoisseur though to be fair! one man’s trash is another man’s treasure
  2. Re: the Zeus, I’ve never tried one but have listened to a ton of sound demos of it and to my ears it doesn’t sound anywhere near as good as the Okto Nøjs. IMO, YMMV etc.
  3. Alas, I hadn’t read that part
  4. Just discovered - courtesy of the Talkbass thread - that the Aux input only goes to the headphone out and not the main outs. That’s a pretty large nail in the SpectraDrive’s coffin I’m afraid!
  5. Good god - has this not sold yet??
  6. I can whole-heartedly agree with all of the above. I’ve only ever bought pedals and accessories from Wunjo but they’ve been incredibly accommodating whenever I’ve showed up wanting to try basses or amps. Always willing to cut a deal on multiple purchases too, which is always refreshing and has often tempted me toward a buy. Great guys all round.
  7. +1 battery power would have been a nice bonus and helped make it truly portable but I suspect it’s the current draw that’s the limiting factor here. The Ditto X2 (same chassis) is battery power able but it only draws ~100mA compared to ~250mA for the SpectraDrive.
  8. Yeah, to be honest I’ve found myself preferring my natural bass sound over the amp sims. But I’ve never really been an amp sim kinda guy anyway.
  9. This exactly mirrors my feelings. Only way I’m going back to an amp/cab setup is if it’s provided backline and I have no way of bringing my own monitor.
  10. To be honest I have absolutely no idea it certainly isn’t zero but it’s good enough not to be distracting when playing.
  11. Loving the matte black finish on the pedal casing though!!
  12. Ah, yes, Euro power supplies are sadly the norm when ordering from G4M and DV247...my friend ordered a TC Helicon Floor unit from DV a couple of years back and it was a similar situation. He told them about it and they sent out a Euro to UK adapter without argument. Still, made the whole setup that bit bulkier. In my limited experience Thomann tend to send the correct adapter with the product, which saves everyone time and hassle...
  13. I recently purchased Propellerhead Reason 10 and remembered that my Presonus Studiolive AR8 mixer doubles as an audio interface - long story short it works very well and allows me to record from any/all of the input channels. Latency isn’t an issue either, I can drop the buffer size low enough to play bass through the rack effects and amps in Reason, monitoring in real time via the software without audible latency. A lovely thing. Still enamoured with my RCF HD32a. It’s so good that I just don’t think about it - total GAS killer!
  14. Have a look at this post on Talkbass, written by highly experienced cab builder Mike Arnopol: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/800-watt-head-into-a-500-watt-cab.1304796/#post-20448386
  15. Your head won’t be putting out 300 watts all the time, only when the volume is cranked to full. The cab will be totally fine as long as you don’t plan on maxing your amp!
