  1. I’ve had a Line 6 Studio 110 for a few years and it’s served me very well at open mic nights etc.
  2. So, did anyone buy one of these P7s in the end? I feel I may be jumping on the sire bandwagon soon
  3. Collection only, have a look. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Precision-50s-Reissue-Sunburst/273136197223?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D50981%26meid%3D8577d197fe3642e8a2516c13f9a45a41%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D273136205195%26itm%3D273136197223&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A2ddc0f58-35b1-11e8-aa59-74dbd180c0a4|parentrq%3A81691f451620a9c10cba2c69fff9c5b4|iid%3A1
  4. I met Alan (who runs ACG) at the London Bass Guitar Show this year and had a chance to try out an all-bells-and-whistles ACG East Pre as well as a P-Retro. Both were stunningly versatile and sounded great. I’d agree with the sentiments above that these preamps are worth every penny!
  5. The new generation (v2) just has more volume available. Other than that and some different etched graphics on the casing they’re the same.
  6. Are you trying to connect your practise combo to a PA or connect your practise amp to a separate external cab? There are some small combos, such as the TC Electronic BG-208 that’ll do both, however it’s more common to find combos which just have a DI output for PA connection. Sounds to me if the only obvious “output” on your amp is the headphone socket then your amp isn’t capable of either of the above.
  7. Yep. I still stand by every word of that review. It’s very hard to beat a BB!
  8. These heads are seriously underrated. GLWTS.
  9. For anyone out there still GASing, there’s another one of these on Gumtree!
  10. I can vouch for these being excellent. As Danny says, it’s totally clean & clear sounding. Genuinely tiny and truly makes your bass sound like bass, all the way down to the low B string. I run octavers, filters and all sorts through mine with zero complaints - from myself or the amp!
  11. Now that is a lovely colour combo!
  12. Logically speaking, I shouldn’t like the look of that at all - but somehow I do.
  13. There are still plenty of Kickstarter pledge packages availabl, the most tempting being the package with the Backbeat itself and free soft shell case for about £240 including shipping.
  14. Yeah I saw this and was tempted too! Glad it’s gone to a loving home. One would think that having a P would quell my P GAS but since my current P is strung with Nylon Tapes, I now want a second one strung with flats! It never ends
  15. Well, if it works (and at this stage I have no reason to believe it doesn’t) then it looks to be a much more practical alternative to something like the Tecamp pleasure boards, as it allows you to move with IEM-like freedom. If it doesn’t cost the earth, I’m interested. Off to google what the battery life is like...
  16. Hey Andy, I used an eBay store called Plugz2Go last time I found myself in need of this kind of thing. They sell almost every type of cable and connector you can imagine. They were really responsive to messages when I messed up my order and accidentally bought 2.5mm instead of 2.1mm connectors! Changed the order quickly on their end before despatch. No complaints here. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Plugz2go
  17. Wow. That looks to be spectacular value for money!
  18. Some of us have purple chickens... *ahem* Back on topic I find I rarely get nervous as I spend so much time judging my own performance that I don’t have the time to care about what other people think!
