It completely depends on what flavour you go for. You have 3 main choices with the Kingstons currently in production -
The Z - loaded with soapbar humbuckers. Complete with pretty wood covers. A Bartolini upgrade pack is available to bring the pickups and preamp up to the spec of MTDs USA handmade basses.
The Super - dual MusicMan style humbuckers with 3 way coil switching. Each pup can be switched between series humbucking/parallel humbucking/single coil mode.
The Saratoga - noiseless Jazz pups, active/passive switching with a dedicated passive tone control, 34” scale instead of the usual 35” and a different body style.
On the used market you can also find older discontinued models such as the Heir (single coil Jazz pup in the neck, MM humbucker at the bridge) and Artist (as above but without the Jazz pup).
To be fair, you pretty much can’t go wrong with any of the models in the Kingston range. When you get to Bass Direct be sure to play a few of them - they have quite a unique feel due to their asymmetric necks. After playing one for a while it just “made sense” in my hand.
