  1. You can access the full TonePrint editor on iPad too, though that’s obviously useless if you don’t own one! Surely the noise gate on the Aftershock is nowhere near as feature-laden as the Sentry?
  2. Cross the EBS Microbass off your list as it has a headphone out but no aux in. Bit of a dealbreaker and as a result is no better than the 2 Notes Le Bass you already own @Al Krow
  3. Ooh, sounds good! Didn’t know you could do that. You’ve already delved much deeper into the Neuro app than I have!
  4. Yeah the BB42x/102x series pickups have metal surrounds on them anyway so I reckon you could just get some new ones made to fit the new pickups? I will say, however, that the stock pickups in these basses are some of the best I’ve used in any bass. Give the BB a good trial in stock config before dumping a load of money on upgrades - video demos won’t do it full justice.
  5. A strong lead and backing vocal (usually not while playing bass simultaneously), some keys ability, great gear and a decent knowledge of live sound principles. At least compared to most of the other guys I play with.
  6. You own the pedal already but would rather wait for a stranger online to tell you whether they think it’ll work for you or not? There’s nothing stopping you from trying it out yourself - if you discover you don’t like it then sell it! Edit: sorry if that comes across as arsey
  7. Hmmm...I’m less than convinced! Will have to wait for a somewhat more comprehensive review. @dood?
  8. Fun fact - my great grandmother and great aunt used to work in catering at Air Studios in Montserrat at the time The Police were doing a chunk of recording out there. That’s my claim to fame anyway!
  9. I posted a thread ages ago asking if something like this would be possible - glad to hear it is! Though I remember some folk saying that the tone cap needed to receive the direct loading effect of the pickups on the bass in order to behave properly...or something along those lines? It was (and still is) somewhat beyond my comprehension.
  10. Sting is one of my favourite artists of all time. Me and the guys I share a flat with have chosen Englishman in New York as our anthem for when the stars align and we all happen to be at home at the same time Love The Police with a passion too.
  11. Ah, yes, I’ve read about these. 4 string only is a serious bummer for me too though.
  12. Not tried one yet but was aware of the huge hype surrounding it when it was first released. Definitely should be added to the list. Where did you try one?
  13. Wow. Serious spending spree of late, Peter!
  14. Told ya! Glad you’re enjoying it man. Kinda crazy how good these amps sound considering how small & light they are!
  15. Oh bloody hell. Wish I’d seen this in time!
  16. Sounds very interesting! Edit: especially for £58!! I may have to invest.
  17. This is one of the best things I’ve read in a long time! also, @Quatschmacher, I agree with EG’s statement earlier re: temperamental tracking on the b2m/i2m. It wasn’t anywhere near reliable enough for me to even consider wanting to use it live. As a studio tool, with the opportunity to take your time editing/tracking/cleaning up takes, it might be more viable. Even then, I’d rather just use a dedicated MIDI keyboard. I guess for someone without any desire or ability to play keys the i2m might work out for them.
  18. I used to own one. To be honest I didn’t use it much and sold it a while back. Would much rather use dedicated hardware/pedals.
  19. Ashdown’s new Geezer Signature Head.
  20. I’ve already told Peter I’ll be taking yours off your hands once you’ve discovered it doesn’t track down to a low E
