I use an image upload app on iPhone/iPad called Phupp, which is basically just a neat(ish) gui that uses Imageshack as a host. Been using it for about a year now with no issues. Imageshack seems to be the way forward!

I strongly suspect you’ll love it! I forgot to mention that the 900 is the only one in the range that has a cooling fan. The bonus of the 300 and 500 is that they don’t have cooling fans so they run silent all the time!

In that case, you’ll be absolutely fine with the Puma 500. If you find yourself playing the kind of gig where the 500 and 2x15 Tecamp cabs isn’t enough to hear yourself, you should be running through the PA anyway! You’ll likely be able to get away with just one of the cabs for small/medium gigs - two of them will sound great.

What cabs are you using? I’ve got a Puma 900 running into a single TKS1126 which is a power-thirsty cab that can happily deal with whatever you throw at it. It’s a serious “one cab solution” that pairs really well with high wattage at 8 ohms. Not all cabs share that attribute so it’s worth bearing in mind. As far as raw “heft”. A Puma 500 into two cabs will give you more than a Puma 900 into a single cab, providing you were using the same cabs in each example. Basically, you’ll gain more by doubling your cabs than by doubling your watts.

This is all very true. The performance will be limited by the quality (i.e. max current output) of whatever usb power source you plug into. Some computers only supply high current from specific ports, most android USB charger plugs supply at least 2A at 5 volts but as you say, bumping the voltage up to 9 volts will basically halve that. The standard Apple plug that comes with iPhones is notoriously underpowered so is a non starter. Therefore you’d have to carry your own plug (and, as you say, cable) in order to be sure to power your board properly. At that stage, you may as well just have a conventional pedal power supply and save yourself the hassle.

Well I’ve never had any issues daisy chaining my Source Audio pedals. Hmmm. Might be worth contacting SA themselves - their customer service is excellent and they’ll definitely help you out.

Try the TC Sentry. Looks to me to be one of the best and most customisable noise gates out there for not much money.

The THR10 sounds lovely but will struggle to reproduce the low end of your 5 string. It won’t necessarily distort but you just won’t really hear it!
