There was a crazy 8 for sale here a couple of months ago, in a rather handsome blue sparkle finish. I fear it may have sold though.
P.J.B. Briefcase https://www.bassbags.co.uk/product/phil-jones-bass-briefcase/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIl5zusfOq1wIVb77tCh0CygkEEAQYASABEgLIv_D_BwE
This. -
The way I see it is anything with gold jacks claiming to be superior is a nonsense. In order for that to even remotely make a difference, every conductor and connection point in your signal path would need to be made of gold. Of course, this would be hugely impractical and incredibly expensive to achieve (which is why nobody does it) thus the gold plated connectors on your expensive new cable are worth diddly squat. Instrument cables with moulder plastic/rubber jacks should be avoided like the plague. I once made the mistake of buying a load of moulded Planet Waves cables and almost every single one has gone bad. Never buying them again as long as I live. My only exception to this rule is the EBS Flat patch cables which I swear by and have had no problems with. I’ve bought somewhere in the region of 25 of the, and have had zero issues. Anyone who knows me knows my pedalboard is constantly changing, so they’re certainly getting a workout. Dannybuoy of this parish swears against them as they apparently allowed a load of noise into his signal path. Personally, I haven’t noticed any such noise and I regularly practise through headphones but take my opinion with a pinch of salt. I think my next major cable order will be placed with OBMM.

I was always under the impression that the Hooker’s Green Bass Machine was based on a Green Russian Muff? Which, if I’m correct, would help explain its darker character?

Hit every branch as it fell down the Ugly Tree

Looks like something a 7 year old (I’m being generous) would have knocked up when left alone in the tool shed. -
Hello yes. Leave it with me gents, I’ll see what I can do!
Amazing. Basschat rulez.
I’m trying to bear in mind the title of this thread. If I could choose only one filter it probably wouldn’t be the Aguilar Filter Twin simply because there’s no resonance control and I like having the flexibility to make have it be either subtle or crazy as I feel. However it is a fantastic filter and the fixed resonance is in a pretty sweet spot so I’m very much enjoying it. Similar story on the Fwonkbeta though it does have a resonance control but it goes from high to stupidly high. It sounds fantastic but couldn’t be used in every situation in which a filter is required. It’s loads of fun but again couldn’t be my sole filter.
+1 to pretty much all of this. Another, more subtle filter has to sit beside the Fwonk on my main board to provide a less mental option.

Haven’t played this particular model but I can say that the stuff coming out of the Ibanez factories these days is great. There are a few of us here on BC who own various models and love em! As always, try before you buy if possible but I imagine you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

All sorted now. CameronJ is back in action!
You're still showing as 'alumni' so I guess you haven't reactivated yet!
That was my old expired profile. Currently working with Laura to resolve the username confusion...

Ah, it seems my login username is CameronJ but my actual screen name is Kevin Johnson. Not what I was expecting. So you’re probably looking at someone else’s profile!
Thanks for the compliments and the download! I'll hopefully put together some more tracks, and compile them into a second EP soon.
Ah, Mr. Rizer himself! The username is a red herring . Great work man. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s much appreciated.

Hmm that’s weird. Well I’m logged in and functioning as normal!
Thank you! yes, my old 90's Warwick rock bag's are like that - not too comfy, and the straps have started to come away from the case. The Mono cases (which I really like too) have the extra padding, but they are a bit pricey - however, a £1,500 - £2,000 Bass in a £150 gig bag.. might be about right?
Totally agree. In my opinion (within reason) one shouldn’t be afraid of spending a decent chunk of change to protect their instruments. Within reason though. The Warwick bag defies all reason, especially when considering some of the fantastic competition out there. This is like the new Darkglass cabs all over again
I can't remember which shop (definitely not Wunjos) but a few years ago one of the guitar shops in Denmark Street had dozens of Schecter basses in their basement. In fact their bass range was probably 90% Schecter! Worth a look anyhow!
Ah, I think that might be “Westside” or something similar, a couple of shops along from Wunjo. They’re the only shop on Denmark Street who stock pedaltrain and MXR as well I believe.
Ditto ~ Warwick leather bag Red is just my colour, so the MTD 'double' gig bag on the Bass Direct website looks the business! (because who only takes one bass to a gig?)
I bought one of these recently (along with their single gig bag) and it’s really nice. Lightweight and they’ve clearly put some thought into the strap locations because, despite not being padded, the gig bag is more comfortable on the shoulders than my other cases with thick padded straps. My only complaint is I think they could do with a bit more padding at the base of the case, where the end strap pin would meet the ground. I’ve added some padding of my own there to solve the issue.

Actually, that demo has me slightly GASing for a Strymon Möbius...
-
Have to say, Zach Rizer’s demos are always spot on. Well shot, clear delivery of information, tasteful playing (appropriate to the kind of pedal being demoed) just generally excellent.
You can get a decent gig bag for under £100, and if you want a handmade leather one, you can get one from Maruszczyk for half the amount Warwick seem to be asking: http://bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Other_gig_bags.html
And the Maruszczyks are (IMO) much better looking and potentially better made! That Warwick bag is comedy pricing at its finest.
