1. Cheers for clearing that up - makes my GAS much less acute!
2. Ah, I'm running on my iPad/iPhone too so that could be it.
3. I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to - are the power supply outlets on the Noble isolated?
4. Great news about the pickups. That was the one thing I was apprehensive about Yamaha changing so I'm glad they're good in the newer models.
5. PM incoming for the Density Hulk!
6.
Aye, stick a Fender badge on, treble the price and watch them fly out the door. Yamaha... like a really good Fender, but dirt cheap.
Truth!
7. Hmmm...they've disappeared for me too.
8. This is a beauty, love that colour!
9. And I still wholeheartedly stick by all of the above. You're in for a treat, Woolf. £499 brand new is an absolute steal.
10.
Oh I saw that, it looked really cool. I did consider it, but thought it wouldn't get clean enough for me on the drive side.
It's really cool. On the distortion circuit, with the drive turned all the way down I sometimes have to double check if it's on! So it gets pretty clean but will still bite at minimum drive when you dig in.
11.
I just received a Harley Benton power plant today .. looks decent, led light is certainly useful as a torch, briefly tested it powering a pedal but no time to play, will use it tomorrow powering all my 7-8 analog pedals I also didn't mind paying the 10 euro postage .. I've used Thomann many times & they been great, honouring returns & warranty etc
What's the verdict?
12. Looks like there are signature cabs too. Look closely from 50 seconds in. The 210 on the top of the cab stack has offset drivers and a yellow Marcus Miller silhouette graphic on the bottom right corner.
13. I know what you mean, the €8 postage isn't the cheapest but to be fair I don't begrudge it as Thomann's customer service tends to be spot on. To get the postage for free you've got to spend €199 which I don't think I'll be spending this time around. Edit: the postage is actually €10...but I'm still willing to pay it. Especially when my order includes items I can't get from any shops in the UK.
14. Oh very nice. I reckon this'll be my next purchase: https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_powerplant_powerbank.htm 10,000 mAh, two 9v outputs, a USB output and a built in LED torch! Reckon I'll get myself 2 of them as an upgrade to my existing batteries (which will then serve to power my pedaltrain Nano+ instead)
15.
Is that a Soundblox 2 OFD? If so, that's what I've just sold and replaced with the Orange Juice and Big Muff, the tones were great but I found the programmable nature of it too fiddly.
No but I have an OFD too which I like. I'm used to the programming as I have a Manta too and love it. My new drive is a combination of the Micro Fuzz and Black Dragon distortion from SFX Sound - the folk who make the Micro Thumpinator. Very nice tones out of this thing.
16. All of the above, plus anything with Michael League playing on it.
17.
I may be talking out my arse here but is it that expensive compared to a Bareface cab, Cameron if you want a 2 x 8 Fender did a V2 light weight if you can find one second hand http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/fender-rumble-2x8-bass-speaker-cabinet, I've got one and I'm well happy with it.
True, and I suppose I could find a TC BG250 208 which would be more useful to me than just the cab anyway, not to mention cheaper and available used.
18.
Slightly off topic but I can't help wondering why the 2x8 cab is sooooo expensive compared to the amp and the 1x10??!!
I too have wondered this and despaired as the 2x8 cab is the only thing I'd be interested in from the new range...
19. Ah I saw this on Facebook but didn't realise it was a Shuker!
20. I have an Orange Juice and have to say it's great. Particularly when you consider its size and price. The tone of it is pretty scuptable to suit a variety of tastes. I've just bought a SFX Sound 2-in-1 distortion/fuzz from The Twickerman of this parish though. So far it's sounding great and is so convenient to have two fine tuned dirt sounds in one fairly compact box. With regret I may end up selling my Orange Juice soon!
21.
So I'd been on the site constructing my perfect bass all yesterday evening (so many damn options!). Actually ended up dreaming of headstocks and delivery times all through the night! Damn it, I was happy with my bass til I started reading this forum!!!
Same here. I've just read through the entire thread and now I think my next bass HAS to be a Maruszczyk...
22. That's some serious playing Enrico, love it! Lovely bass too.
23. Amazing indeed. Also, 8 Ohms?! Are they expecting you to stack these??
24. These are really good little amps. Amp modelling, 4band EQ, DI output, small footprint. Would make a handy living room combo, which is what I use mine as. GLWTS.
25. This is so simple yet so useful! Thanks for sharing.
