1.
Go on. You know you want to. Plus I'll be in London tomorrow too, so we could meet up - saves posting
And we're the same height!! Would be great to meet you man but I'm up in Scotland til mid October still tempted though...
2. Oh man. Temptation, thou art a cruel mistress!
3. Hmmm. Just had a look on the Wingbass site and configured a custom fiver to a similar spec but with a purple heart top, maple fretboard and a ramp between pickup and bridge for the same price oh well...
4. Yup. Just tried them wired for some music playback and bass practice through my PJB Bighead. All sounded very nice. These seem to go lower more comfortably and more clearly than my in ears which is great as I'm an octave addict! Thumbs up all round.
5. Glad you're enjoying your new bass! I've liked the look of the 2017 Ibanez BTBs since they were unveiled. The extra sculpting makes an already handsome bass shape even nicer IMO. I did wonder how the move to Aguilar pickups would compare to the Nordstrand pickups in the previous generation Premiums...
6.
But what a shame about that enormous dink in the front.
I quite like it!
7.
Someone needs to buy this, replace the pickup with a DiMarzio (with the black pole-pieces)...
You mean this?
8.
Well there is the "red" Status logo
Still, far blacker than any other "all black" bass I've seen for sale here or elsewhere else. Are there side dots along the edge of the fretboard?
9. It has arrived, direct from Germany: Well packaged: The hard case is gorgeous: And here she is, complete with all accessories: They may be "refurbished" but they are completely immaculate: The only sign of use was that the plastic covering for the Safety Guide had been opened! I currently have them on, playing some Gregory Porter through my iPad whilst typing this. Straight out of the box after turning them on I was checked the battery level and was greeted by a woman with an English accent saying I had between 13-18 hours battery life left. Pretty insane as that's not even full charge! Sound quality is excellent, as is build quality - these feel like they will last me many many years. I suspect the battery will give up the ghost long before the chassis does. Lovely premium feel to these cans as well with the leather headband and ear cups. Why brings me to their comfort. When I first put these on I was very impressed, they are without doubt the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn. Those padded ear cups really do the business. I haven't yet tried them wired but when the wireless sound quality is as good as it is, I have very few doubts that the wired performance will be any less than fantastic. All in all I'm a very happy bunny! Now I just need to try them out with bass when I get home, can't wait
10. I'm sorely tempted but can't afford! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253072183358
11. She's a beaut - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222594626188
12.
I've blown chunks

Most obliging, I hope chunks enjoyed it.
13. Your GAS attack may rear it's head again in a few months if I decide to sell mine...
14.
Octave down. It's great fun to play Stevie Wonder lines up the dusty end with a sub octave. Try it, you might like it.
Ah...I'll have to get me a fretless first! I'm currently GASing for an Ibanez SRF Portamento 5-string...
15. The MP75 is one of the best dynamic mics I've ever used. Whether you intend to use it with "mic control" enabled TC Helicon gear or not, it's a solid investment. Kills most others in its price range (and above) for clarity. GLWTS!
16. Out of interest, for those suggesting octavers on fretless, do you mean specifically octave down or octave up?
17. Seems to have sold. How/why was it coming down in price so rapidly?
18. I'd love to be there but I'm on my theatre gig til mid October sadly. Presumably there will be pictures/videos of the day?
19. Only problem I can see is that I assume the Monitor Input will be expecting line level, so you'll probably have to boost your bass signal beforehand? If you have a preamp/DI then just use the XLR out from that into the mic input and it should do the business I reckon
20. If you're willing to buy used, £1300 will go a very very long way IME. The world is pretty much your oyster with that budget.
21. Personally I wouldn't take big risks with pedalboard power. I'd always prefer to be safe in the knowledge that I have "headroom" as far as the current that my power supply can provide. The last thing I want is pedals shutting down of their own accord or behaving oddly in a live situation.
