  1. GREAT pedals! And they don’t come up used often. GLWTS
  2. This has always been the case for me, long before the pandemic!
  3. We should start a “multiple Polytune clips club”
  4. This. First thing I did when I got mine.
  5. Tried one in a shop about a year ago and somehow wasn’t that enamoured. Really like the look though and I’d love to get Jon Shuker to make me a 5 string version
  6. That’s a very cool pickup/preamp system
  7. Kevin Scott’s Moollon is a thing of beauty
  8. Nice - very similar to my old VM5! I approve, sir.
  9. I used to have Dunlop Flats and currently have a set of Cobalts. I’d say they’re pretty similar in feel, though the Cobalts are brighter, almost roundwound-like.
  10. I think this has become my favourite finish in the Sire basses. The other colours held my attention for a while but this finish is just so classy. The shade of the sunburst is similar to some of the Maruszczyk “Brandy Burst” finishes I’ve seen. Very lovely.
  11. Jon Shuker will do builds as simple or as exotic as you like. Same goes for ACG although none of his body shapes are Fender copies, if that’s what you’re after. What’s your budget range?
  12. I’m pretty much in this camp. My first 5er was an Ibanez BTB33 with 17mm string spacing at the bridge, my second 5er was a Yamaha BB 1025x with 18mm spacing, now all my 5ers have 19mm spacing. It’s never really bothered me and I can adapt to them all. I’d say I “feel” the difference between nut widths more but still, it’s not a problem.
  13. @colleya your monochrome herd is quite a visual delight!
  14. Truth. This was about 5 years ago and I still own the bass to this day . I emailed Sandberg customer support (their general support email address) some time in the early evening, got a personal reply from Hölger himself at around 3am simply asking for my address. No platitudes, just “Send me your shipping address, I will sort this out” or words to that effect. A week later I have a brand new identical tuner postmarked from Germany, free of charge. All this for a used bass which I admitted was damaged as a result of my own incompetence - not a failure of the product itself. I insisted upon paying for the tuner but Hölger was having none of it. That’s a masterclass in customer service if you ask me.
  15. Only in a very rudimentary manner.
  16. Alas, the Stomp can’t send CCs But the HX Effects can.
