  1. This is no doubt true, but as the OP stated he wants to spend as little as possible for a set of strings, I doubt forking out for 3 years’ worth is an option for him!
  2. Yeah Mono call it the “PickPocket” (clever) and it sits at the end of the strap that attaches to the upper horn so not really suitable at all for a wireless transmitter. Great straps though!
  3. Still here and still gorgeous. Have a bump on me.
  4. Exactly. If the rest of your setup is analogue, you’re unlikely to encounter latency issues with 8ms on its own. Equally, IEMs aren’t going to add to your overall latency unless you’re running them wirelessly.
  5. This is spot on. The 8ms latency of the Smooth Hound on its own isn’t necessarily a dealbreaker but when chaining it into digital effects, a digital mixer and through a digital wireless IEM system, each of those components in the signal chain will be adding their own additional milliseconds of latency to the pile. It won’t take long for the result to be unusable if one isn’t careful about their choice of hardware.
  6. I think I may have played this very bass back when it was still in stock at Bass Direct - really really lovely bass. Maruszczyk do great work. This is a bargain IMO.
  7. Ah. While I do glance at the 4 string section, most of my focus rests in the 5 string area so I’ll take your word for it!
  8. I literally check the Bass Direct website every day or at least every other day. The used stock levels have remained quite consistent in number, whilst the actual basses themselves are constantly changing. I certainly haven’t noticed a significant drop in online stock levels. Haven’t physically visited the shop in over a year though!
  9. Price dropped to £650 as I have my greedy eye on something else
  10. These are utterly excellent. Good price too! Someone will be getting a nice deal here.
  11. Alas, Stomp is perfect for my needs really, so I’m not looking to get rid of it any time soon. Such a great feature-to-size ratio. You’ll love it when you get one!
  12. I’m already a very happy Stomp user and yet I’m tempted by this Really good price for the daddy of Helices and floor controller + extras. GLWTS sir!
  13. At that price, I’m tempted to get one for the gig bag!
  14. Been playing with the configurator again: If only I could have lollipop tuners...
  15. Used to mostly be effects (big time) but spent the best part of a year buying and selling furiously, had a huge board and then realised I was able to strip it down to a bare bones “most loved” selection. Only went through a couple of amps before arriving upon the world of FRFR and have been happy ever since. Now I only GAS for basses. All the time. Help me.
  16. I’m guessing it’s full-sized route (even though the installed controls are very sparse) just in case the temptation to install anything more fancy strikes at a later date?
  17. Oh man that is glorious! Good work sir.
  18. @MoJo, seen this? http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Ibanez_BTB_775.html
  19. FWIW that model has been directly replaced by the BTB745 & 746. Weird that the supply of used 67x series seems to have dried up though - there was a time when they could easily and frequently be found!
