  1. Glad someone’s going for this. My savings account was quivering in fear!
  2. My kinda groove! Sounds good, no question.
  3. I’m very intrigued to know how you have that wired!
  4. Those Genzler Array cabs are very cool!
  5. I too had the original Amplig and it was indeed a horrible thing. The newer versions are so much better though. A vast improvement on the original!
  6. Very nice! Glad you’re happy with it - I’ve wanted to try out Sire basses for a while but haven’t ever had the opportunity. Enjoy
  7. Still drooling over this - is that a Nordstrand pickup?
  8. To be fair, the Vox amplug is actually quite decent for around £35. I never use the rhythm stuff on mine but it functions as a perfectly decent headphone amp. I’d strongly advise against trying to beam your live bass playing to a speaker via Bluetooth - the latency (delay) will do your head in and hinder any sense of timing!
  9. @Al Krow you can use your Stomp for this very purpose!
  10. Phil Jones Big Head. Certainly not the cheapest but, all things considered, probably the best thing for what you’re looking for.
  11. Fair play. I quite enjoy the 2 band on my VM but to be fair I switch between active and passive often for different flavours. If I were “locked in” to active only with the 2 band I might not be so content. I suspect if I do get the Schecter I’ll get a passive tone control installed. We shall see.
  12. @Al Krow, I’m guessing the preamp was part of the reason you sold your old Sandberg TM?
  13. That’s what I call AndyTragic
  14. I think I might have to get one before they get discontinued!
  15. My GAS for this thing still burns. Just come across this rather good demo - it’s in Russian but has English captions. Shows a nice breadth of playing styles and in context with other instruments too. P.s. the Schecter looks way better than the Fender!
  16. I have to strongly +1 this comment. May be an ambitious feat but it would certainly be cool if it were pedalboard-friendly.
  17. I used them on all my basses for a couple of years but for the past year or so haven’t used one at all - partly by accident as I bought a new bass and never got around to getting a new fretwrap for it. Long story short, I haven’t missed it, and I’m sure not having it has only served to clean up my technique! I play 99% fingerstyle with floating thumb technique though so YMMV. I’d still recommend them but you’ll survive without them - depending on style of course
  18. My Sandberg VM (purple, maple board) has flats, Yamaha BB (black, rosewood board) has rounds.
  19. It’s a problem I wouldn’t mind having!
