  1. Two points to make re: Lakland basses. 1- their necks are fantastic. Matte finish and a lovely profile = super fast. 2- the tone pots have a very even/gradual taper, meaning it is totally usable across the entire sweep of the knob. Too many basses fail in this regard but Lakland have got it just right. Both of the above make these basses an absolute pleasure to play!
  2. The pickguard would be ok if it weren’t for the bridge side of the P pickup completely ruining the lines 🥴
  3. From memory I’m pretty sure the clamp is sized specifically for mic stand tube diameter. The main pole on a PA stand would be far too thick for it I imagine.
  4. Then may god have mercy on us all.
  5. True. Best case scenario it’ll come in just under £3k which is hilariously far out of my budget
  6. Soon to be landing on our shores via BassDirect no doubt
  7. The BH800 is such a great head. I suspect you’re gonna love it!
  8. This. If they didn’t like you they wouldn’t invite you back just to be nice! Clearly you did something right.
  9. The only thing putting me off a D-bird was the fact it didn’t come in a 5 string... This is terrible news.
  10. Hercules make a phone holder which attaches to a mic stand. I’ve used it quite a bit over the past couple of years and it’s very good.
  11. Can’t help you there I’m afraid
  12. Haven’t tried cobalts but I have Dunlop Flats on one of my basses. I like them - the tension isn’t much higher than the Rotosound rounds that came with the bass when I bought it (used) and they can be very bright if you want them to be.
  13. The J-loaded-P doesn’t look completely awful but they could do with other colour options. The Bona sig on the other hand is just grim.
  14. How long have you owned the bass for? I’ve only had mine a couple of months and not played it constantly but no battery issues for me...
  15. The PJB Bighead is probably the best you can get for what you describe. Not exactly “cheap” but worth every penny.
  16. Played one of these in GuitarGuitar Glasgow (pre-reduction) and it was a joy. Sounded great with a lovely neck. I was rather tempted myself at that price!
  17. All working now. Cheers!
  18. Not sure what format those photos are in but they don’t seem to be cooperating with my phone or my iPad!
  19. How on earth is this still here?! I suspect it’s just a case of not enough people knowing about them
  20. Just barrel size. Line 6 deliberately made the barrel an awkward size to act as a disincentive to people running the Stomp (and HX Effects) off of non-official power supplies. Annoying for those of us wanting to run Stomos on pedalboards but I do get why Line 6 did it.
  21. Sweet Jesus that’s beautiful!
  22. Some serious collections there gentlemen!
  23. That's a very good price on the Mobius!
  24. *Ahem* Where were we? Ah yes... Good to know. The vast majority of my “aural hours” are spent just listening to recorded music so if they aren’t great for that they’re a no-go. I definitely want a set which excels at critical, casual and live instrument monitoring applications so perhaps the ZS10s are out for me, despite the low cost risk to try them out. Need to give Custom IEMs a call tomorrow methinks.
