  1. Hopefully I’ll get some time to dive in on the weekend
  2. Early thoughts: had about half an hour to briefly tinker with the Stomp last night. Only really had the chance to install the drivers/software on my laptop and play through the stock bass patches for a bit. Some really nice bass tones straight out of the box! I’m hoping to give it a whirl connected to my iPad today so will be eager to see how well it works as a class compliant audio interface!
  3. Gold or a nice deep tort. Black is just lazy IMO.
  4. My Stomp has just been delivered! I’ll have to wait til tonight to test it out but the excitement is brewing
  5. PMT, Dawson’s and GuitarGuitar all have stock now
  6. Check out Gator cases. They do loads of different shapes and sizes and the quality is great, especially for the price. I’m sure you’ll be able to find something that works nicely.
  7. I was reading the JMJ mustang thread over on Talkbass last week. Was GASing pretty hard for one but sense got the better of me as it would be a totally unnecessary purchase - would love to play one though!
  8. And an ex-demo BB734a here: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F372136095412 Many a bargain to be found on the new series already!
  9. Indeed. The I/O is exceptional on full Helix and was a big reason for me considering it for so long.
  10. Not thoroughly. I used one very briefly at the London Bass Guitar Show earlier in the year - Alan @ ACG had it set up as a headphone amp and I played your very own RetroB P5 through it! But didn’t get too deep into it as I was focusing on the bass rather than the Helix.
  11. No Helix here. I was toying with getting one a few months ago but couldn’t justify it, mostly for reasons of size.
  12. @Al Krow, I got an email saying my Stomp would be delivered on the 20th of December too but as the website said the Stomp’s were physically in stock (and I got the last one) that made no sense to me. So I rang G4M to query it and the helpful guy on the other end of the line said “That delivery date does look odd. We’re expecting a UK batch of Stomps within the next day and as our records show you have indeed purchased the last one that was in stock, one of them should be yours. Give it a day or two and check the tracking link before cancelling the order as there’s a chance that 20th of December shipping date is an error on our end” So I left it. Woke up a few minutes ago. Just checked the UPS tracking link and well, well, well...looks like I’ll be getting a shiny Stomp very soon!
  13. I may or may not have bought the last Stomp that Gear 4 Music had in stock today 😬 currently on its way from their German warehouse! There were 5 in stock when I first checked this morning - I went in the shower and by the time I’d come out there was only 1 left so I snapped it up. Should hopefully arrive before the end of the week. I also just bought an Apple Camera Connection Kit (a glorified lightning to USB adaptor) so I can use Stomp as an interface direct into my iPad/iPhone. Fun times ahead!
  14. I actually think a Stomp + HXFX would be a great setup. Put the HXFX in the loop of the Stomp and connect them via midi so patch changes are mirrored between the two. A little more expensive than an LT (not by much) but definitely still more compact.
  15. B-stock deal on a QSC K12.2 at Andertons now: https://www.andertons.co.uk/live-pa/live-pa-bstock/b-stock-%3A-qsc-k122-2000w-powered-12-speaker-exrepair-78740
  16. I know, I know, and I do agree with you. Still, if Line 6 allow basic utility functions like FX loop routing to not take up blocks then the limit won’t be so crippling.
  17. To buy a Stomp and a Morningstar controller would cost a bit under £700. Admittedly not far off the price of the LT @ around £750 but it does make for a significantly more compact (and modular) setup than an LT. Still easily thrown into the front pocket of a decent gig bag. Personally, I’d go for it! Much as I love the idea of a “full fat” Helix, I always found the size to be a massive disincentive to buying one. Especially as I’d always be adding other pedals via FX loops, further blowing up the footprint.
  18. Hey @LloydyG10. Yeah I’d say I agree with you - when both of my hands/arms are off the bass it prefers to drift to a horizontal position rather than the position I’d play in, i.e. headstock tilted slightly upward. It’s not a severe issue for me but I have a very wide Gruv Gear Solostrap Neo which no doubt helps a bit. I do find the 735a to be noticeably lighter than my old 1025x. Ultralites may be a nice upgrade. Although you’d have to put up with not being able to match the gunmetal colour of the rest of the hardware.
  19. For those seeking advanced footswitch expansion. It’s another £200+ but worth it for the amount of flexibility it adds IMO:
  20. Ah, so you’ve ended up with the near-identical sibling to my HD32a @jrixn1. It’s fantastic isn’t it?
  21. Don’t tell me this is yours, @edstraker123? http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Warwick_Thumb_BO5_GPS.html
