  1. In which case, would it not be quicker to just get a refund and see if another retailer has a charcoal sparkle HH in stock?
  2. If the body shape were less divisive the patchwork contruction would work better IMO. As it is, there’s just too much going on.
  3. Get yourself a Digitech Bass Synth Wah! The solo’d octave down sound alone is worth the ~£60 it’ll cost you. Digital pedal but sounds much better than many digital octavers out there.
  4. In all honesty, buying a cheap precision will give you the fastest, most consistent results. And you may even love the P bass enough to use it without the T16 too!
  5. Probably not. It’s the inherent characteristics of that kind of pickup in that position which analogue octavers just don’t like very much. Digital octavers won’t mind it but as we all know they aren’t as juicy sounding!
  6. I’m pretty sure the Spector ReBop MM has a 2-band EQ
  7. Try it out with a different rig or through headphones just to be sure. What bass do you usually use through the T16? I have to say that I can’t imagine that Spector’s tone behaving particularly well with octavers, generally. I was looking into them recently as I think they’re beautiful looking basses but hearing some sound demos I thought “that isn’t gonna work well with my octave/synth setup at all!”
  8. Was it definitely the pedal that was misbehaving or the amp you were playing through?
  9. Agreed. At this price point? Frankly, I’d be expecting near-perfection. Anything less is an insult to my intelligence and, arguably worse, my wallet.
  10. Stumbled across this just now - Software modelled guitar Amps/FX, digital Hammond organ and electronic drums. Sadly no bass guitar but still. I bet these guys had a wonderfully chilled load in/out. Playing starts around 2:45. Who can deny it sounds great??
  11. It’s a Thomas Lieber creation - https://www.talkbass.com/threads/fender-stratocaster-bass.111120/page-6#post-21725965 https://www.lieberguitars.com/basses/
  12. Wowzers. That is a glorious sound. Thanks for sharing!
  13. Wow, that is some serious extended range! My brain turns to mush at 6 strings...😳
  14. Saw this on Facebook the other day. What an absolute beast of a cab! GLWTS sir.
  15. +1000. Their customer service is fantastic too.
  16. Tapes are glorious - I’ve never tried the Status ones but I have some LaBella Black Nylon Tapes and absolutely love em. I think I actually prefer tapewounds to flatwounds in feel.
  17. Asymmetric neck? Like my MTD? If they could do that I’d be very interested.
  18. I’ve done this with my Sonys many a time. Leaves me with a clean, uncoloured frequency response.
  19. I had a very similar experience with one of my Sandbergs. I emailed them directly asking to purchase a replacement - they sent me a replacement tuner with no fuss, from Germany, free of charge.
  20. The specs and even the shape of the thing suggest to me that it’s aimed squarely at guitarists. I suspect this won’t do a great job with bass at all...
  21. I may well take you up on that offer actually
  22. Ha! It would indeed. Though installation would be more of a challenge. A Matryoshka however would fit in the control cavity with plenty of room to spare!
