  1. To clarify this, I don’t think the colours are so questionable in isolation but when combined with the roasted neck/headstock some of them don’t “sit” particularly well. Personal favourites so far are dropped copper and burnt apple I think!
  2. Last year I made my way through a silly number of envelope filters and this is the only one I still own. It just has a juicy, fat, obnoxious, stanky, ripe character to it that few others could touch - all while being very compact and pedalboard-friendly. It’s seriously a gem of a pedal. Oh and this a fantastic price!!
  3. Lest we forget Martin Sims @ Enfield Guitars
  4. That certainly seems to be Sandberg’s mentality - let’s try to keep you playing. It shows that they have confidence in their product and value players who use their instruments. The speed with which they rectified the issue with my USED bass (which, by the way, was entirely my error and not a manufacturing fault) speaks volumes and frankly every manufacturer, not just of musical instruments, could take a leaf out of Sandberg’s book.
  5. Based on my (admittedly fairly limited) experience of the S1, I’m inclined to agree with this.
  6. I have to say some of the 2018 colours are a bit...questionable 🤨
  7. This is exactly what I’d expect. Roughly how much time would you say the process you’ve described above takes to complete?
  8. Was just about to post this. For £65 I’d expect a decent set of new strings included in the service.
  9. This guy certainly makes his Reverend sound amazing:
  10. A couple of Yamaha DXR12s for sale in the “other musically related...” section of the classifieds
  11. And that is the barrier to entry for me, the prices are just silly. Will have to wait for a used one to crop up in the right colour which will no doubt take a while to happen.
  12. Any further progress on the Short Scale Things, @Jabba_the_gut?
  13. To my surprise, thread is the first I’ve heard of Pensa. I must say I like the headstock - kind of a sharper version of Lakland/Xotic. Looks pretty wide at the nut but I presume those details can be customised at will.
  14. I nearly had kittens when I saw the prices!
  15. To be fair though, Sandberg are one of the few manufacturers who regularly produce basses in this configuration.
  16. http://www.acguitars.co.uk/
  17. I’d love to read a review of it when it arrives. Good luck!
  18. LOVE superbrights. I have the Nickel set on my MTD Super 5 - the feel & tension is perfect for me. Got a set of Dunlop Flats on my 5 string Sandberg P which I’ve had on for a while and am really enjoying too, though I may switch that over to Superbrights too. We’ll see...
  19. I adore P basses, but seemingly only ones that aren’t made by Fender
  20. That sounds amazing - didn’t know those 1024/1025 pups could be ordered or I would have done so a long time ago!!
  21. Makes sense I guess - I’d prefer it if no Octamizers were harmed in the making of this bass 😂
  22. Andy’s (WingBass) response below: “We’d prefer not to do any desoldering and removal of components as that introduces the potential of destroying the circuit, and these are expensive. With the POG we don’t have to do any disassembly. That being said, I’m traveling on the West Coast and will return tomorrow so I can measure the depth of the cavity to determine if there is room. I will let you know for sure at that time.”
  23. Once again, big thanks Darren - let’s see what they say!
  24. I imagine a fixed HPF or LPF takes up very little processing power so I wouldn’t be surprised if the likes of the HX could pull it off with relative ease, even on heavily loaded patches.
