  1. I feel like this is the kind of thing @ambient might know?
  2. Locks can be purchased for the Hercules wall hangers: https://www.gak.co.uk/en/hercules-gsp38wb-plus/918485?gclid=CjwKCAjw_b3cBRByEiwAdG8WqgIOUc7oe0c_XsK5iE3Sj7PhoO0YJfXmS-ubfOUpKiUkaK3S8adDohoCHyMQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds https://www.gak.co.uk/en/hercules-ha101-ags-auto-grab-system-security-lock/92297?gclid=CjwKCAjw_b3cBRByEiwAdG8Wqj852mI5RySe6lE1f8E7r_NUdigfAodLX_3FTTef7SqvvENvdM9jVBoCq6EQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  3. A nice deep dark tort would look lovel on that!
  4. I have to agree with @hypercarrots here. A good bass is a good bass, surely? If it’s been well maintained then there should be no problem. People play >100 year old double basses all the time!
  5. Looks like it’s going to be too deep for the control cavity - I’m seeing if they’d be willing to go down the desoldering route. I’ve even suggested buying a couple of used Octamizers for them to use as test units!
  6. Yep, that’s exactly how I use my Polytune Clip.
  7. To clarify this, I don’t think the colours are so questionable in isolation but when combined with the roasted neck/headstock some of them don’t “sit” particularly well. Personal favourites so far are dropped copper and burnt apple I think!
  8. Last year I made my way through a silly number of envelope filters and this is the only one I still own. It just has a juicy, fat, obnoxious, stanky, ripe character to it that few others could touch - all while being very compact and pedalboard-friendly. It’s seriously a gem of a pedal. Oh and this a fantastic price!!
  9. Lest we forget Martin Sims @ Enfield Guitars
  10. That certainly seems to be Sandberg’s mentality - let’s try to keep you playing. It shows that they have confidence in their product and value players who use their instruments. The speed with which they rectified the issue with my USED bass (which, by the way, was entirely my error and not a manufacturing fault) speaks volumes and frankly every manufacturer, not just of musical instruments, could take a leaf out of Sandberg’s book.
  11. Based on my (admittedly fairly limited) experience of the S1, I’m inclined to agree with this.
  12. I have to say some of the 2018 colours are a bit...questionable 🤨
  13. This is exactly what I’d expect. Roughly how much time would you say the process you’ve described above takes to complete?
  14. Was just about to post this. For £65 I’d expect a decent set of new strings included in the service.
  15. This guy certainly makes his Reverend sound amazing:
  16. A couple of Yamaha DXR12s for sale in the “other musically related...” section of the classifieds
  17. And that is the barrier to entry for me, the prices are just silly. Will have to wait for a used one to crop up in the right colour which will no doubt take a while to happen.
  18. Any further progress on the Short Scale Things, @Jabba_the_gut?
  19. To my surprise, thread is the first I’ve heard of Pensa. I must say I like the headstock - kind of a sharper version of Lakland/Xotic. Looks pretty wide at the nut but I presume those details can be customised at will.
  20. I nearly had kittens when I saw the prices!
  21. To be fair though, Sandberg are one of the few manufacturers who regularly produce basses in this configuration.
  22. http://www.acguitars.co.uk/
  23. That is perfect.
  24. I’d love to read a review of it when it arrives. Good luck!
  25. LOVE superbrights. I have the Nickel set on my MTD Super 5 - the feel & tension is perfect for me. Got a set of Dunlop Flats on my 5 string Sandberg P which I’ve had on for a while and am really enjoying too, though I may switch that over to Superbrights too. We’ll see...
