  1. I was very very stressed and needed a serotonin boost so I demolished all of my "rules" and bought a new Grabber in black. I usually buy used, try things and get them in person (mostly building parts basses) but since this time I didn't have any chance of testing and I bought new and online. I know the instrument is controversial (not a "true" Grabber, overly priced etc) but something in it was really calling me and I really needed some sort of twist (been playing mostly P basses for about 15 years). The bass sounds great: the humbucking tone is very full and rich keeping a decent amount of clarity. I like it also because it kinda feels like a super beefed up P bass (the pickup position is almost the same). The coil tap gives a very nice but kinda fine and lower output tone that needs a bit of gain adjustment to be on par with the humbucking mode, it reminded me a lot of the Squier CV 50s P bass. The neck feels very good: I like the shape and the satin finish, also the amber tone is very much of my liking. I had read very good comments about it and I found them to be correct. It's one of the first times I don't need to file the nut to lower strings. The finish is good (seems like a thinner poly compared to Fender and Squier) even tho removing the bridge cover left a significant "print" in the paint. The bridge is good and solid, but I keep strings quite low and I may be swapping the height adjustment screws for shorter ones since they now jump out a bit too much. The price is over the top, we know that, but in a world in which a standard mexican P bass now costs over 900€ and Indonesian Fenders just spawned at around 600 nothing surprises me anymore. I wanted a ready-to-use bass with which I wouldn't need to fiddle around too much (I usually nerd a lot on instruments and small mods, assembling parts P basses) and this bad boi delivered. I was also very surprised to find out it fits in a Gator Transit semirigid bag. The weight is 4.1 kgs. I currently play in D standard so I strung it with Ernie Ball Cobalt flats (45-100) just like my P basses and sounds great. Would I recommend this bass? For the price new only if someone really really really loves the aesthetic/tone, otherwise it would be better to wait for something used to come out. In Italy I guess that would have taken too long as it doesn't seem to be common at all. I may add more detailed pics later.
  2. Sooooo here's the bass now! It has a custom made split bobbin neodymium pickup that sounds really awesome. As for the paint I mixed and can painted it before doing a light relic on it. This Bronco now slaps. The string are Ernie Ball Cobalt flats SS tuned in D standard.
  3. Just starting to revive my BroncoMaster. I'm working on a paint tone to make it cream-yellow with nitrocellulose and I'm currently having a custom split coil made the size of a strat as pickup. The Duncan Hot Stack never really made it.
  4. My band's new album is out!!

  5. Hi! Will be touring with my band from Italy in September (shoegaze/post punk). In case it's allowed, could anyone suggest a few places to ask to play near the southern coast of UK? Thank you! In case it's not allowed, just ignore this.

  9. We got a new single out and I'm so damn proud of this one. There's also quite some screen time for my custom P bass that I posted some times on the forums. I really hope you will enjoy! ANY feedback is deeply appreciated!

  11. I had two 30min originals sets this week and my rig was just bass, pedalboard, amp head (with a Mooer Radar after the DI) since getting the cab around wasn't even worth it.. I'm luckly very satisfied about the tone I get out of the PA throught using the radar with my own cab Ir's loaded so I don't miss my cabs too much in these sets
  12. I doubt I tried this one - will do, thanks!!
  13. Sure!! It's because I like the overall color of the effect, I don't actually like it oscillating too much or being too upfront I only use the chorus together with reverb as a matter of fact, but I use the reverb by itself quite some times
  14. I took the time to take a pair of pics after following this thread for ages - this is my pedalboard, a Nano+ powered by a TRex Fuel Tank JR underneath (with feet lightly raised) I use this one on various projects and give it a few add-ons for specific gigs The base/main shape/main band version of it is this one: Polytune2 noir mini EHX Holy Grail EHX Bass Clone Fairfield Circuitry Barbershop Fairfield Circuitry Modéle B The Pedaltrain itself, the power bank, the TC Polytune and the Barbershop have been together in this since 2016. Once I found the Modéle B (which is an always on Barberhsop) I stacked them resulting in a distortion grain i love. The chorus and reverb are bridged with a modded Ikea tool for some parts of my main band and I love the tone they get together. When I play with another act I stick a loaned B7K, and when I play in my acoustic duo I add a Tech21 for clean guitar and the Boss DD-3 for a guitar part also. This is the largest board I had, at the time (2017-2020) I had a post-rock/desert instrumental trio and I knew no clean at all.. good memories (I still have all the gear, it's just... in drawers. Sigh)
  15. Hi all!! My band Kodaclips just published a new video of a song from our first LP, I'll leave it here! Feddback's very appreciateed!!
  16. I've been uploading a Christmas bass cover a year since 2013, when Bad Religion released their album. Since I had no songs left this year i decided to play the whole album in one take to close this chapter. There are obviously mistakes.

  18. I hope it won't bother since I posted here already, a year has passed and I got something new I can call my own New! Starting from the roots, this was my 2011-2013 punk band After this band's split, I had a stoner era in which I played in a power trio I truly loved.. This is 2017-2020 After the stoner band split in 2020, I started playing in a shoegaze project that has become my most personally and musically rewarding band, Kodaclips: this is our first release from this year. Cheers -
  19. I've been using Rotos SwingBass66 steels for most of the time I played bass (apart from 2-3 using GHS Boomers in nickel) and always 45-105 gauge. I then tested 40-100 Rotos on a bass with a weak neck about 2 years ago and felt in love with the feel tone and tension and I've been mounting them Rotos 40-100s on all basses ever since.

  22. Thanks a lot!! I must admit my part of that bass rig is just the sideways ABM500rc Thanks a lot! Fun fact: I had no idea about how Billy Talbot's gear looked before posting this bass and reading people talk about him! Haha
