    Typical! My main amp has gone on the blink just as a rehearsal finally looms. There's a pretty obvious distortion on the sound. Dirty channel off of course, but the problem is there thru my cab and on the DI too. I have a good amp guy fairly nearby but he always has a long backlog. Orange service seems a long way away, not sure I want to post it. Anyone have any suggestions on getting this fixed? It isn't under a warranty but as-new condition until now. Cheers Jim

    Had a ABM 500 with my BF four10 for a while. Worked great but I moved the amp on and kept the cab. IMO Ashdown ABM is an old-school amp. Why not pair it with a retro cab (10” drivers) rather than a FRFR hifi cab like the big twin?

    OK it seems the barefaced fanbois have not arrived yet, so I will dive in... As per Phil's advice, go try lots of stuff. But don't forget to try barefaced 10s and 12s. You will not be disappointed. I recall having a similar quandry a few years ago, and took a punt on the new barefaced four10. I wasn't sure it would be enough so I took the 8-ohm version so I could add a second. In hindsight a two10 would have done the job. This gear is unbelievably loud, weighs very little and is very well constructed. They have a wide range to suit your style too. Go try em.

    Hey. Not sure what you mean by too high, but I have a feeling this is a setup problem. Have you checked the action & intonation? Otherwise it could be the truss rod needs a tweak - but get professional help if you’re not sure what you’re doing!
