  1. your XL25 was narrow string spacing eh (?) your fretless Pedulla 5 - jeepers that is an instrument did you keep the custom headless (Shuker?)
  2. Nev chucked a L2 at Arnie van Bussel in the shop - "hey Arn, catch" I think the touring Bassist for the Allman Brothers(?) had his gear run over by an 18 wheeler but it didn't break the Steinberger neck ( will try and verify it was in USA Bass Player)

I had a 15" speaker combo but I can't remember what it was called mid 1990's i think I sold it in 1997 It wasn't loud but I liked it - never used the horn sometimes would put another 15" underneath it

i use a very light .6 or .73 nylon plectrum , palm mute squish compression then filter or filter then heavy limiting I'm not good at using words to describe sounds or tones - but it's like a Thwack sound , lol I like what you did, creative, very good.
  11. NZ Music Legend Neville Claughton imported 3 x L2 Bass Steinberger in late 1983 / early 1984 they were $3300 NZ so that would be say 1400 UK Pound (?) today's coin that would be $10000 NZ to buy a new Steinberger off the shelf IMO that's fairly unrealistic business plan in NZ economy
  12. yeah...I think I agree with your generalization I also think Bass Players might be more adventurous (Collective) then Guitar Players (Collective)
  13. I have thought of selling it previously but I can't bring myself to let go It's the most idiosyncratic instrument I own
