3. Not since switching to Statii's (plural) I can change and re-tune a string in under a minute!
4. Mate.... Get out there and get playing..... I was in the same situation a few years back....... I now play in an originals unit, a covers unit and a Function band.... I now find I don't get the pangs of not playing enough...
5. I wouldn't say it the cheapest..... I'm getting my Kingbasses necks finished in a matt feel.... so I imagine Rob can do a Satin finish also
6. Just got delivery of a Bass synth wah from Ian... Pedal arrived very quickly, packaged perfectly and looks as though it's just come direct from the shop... i.e. looks brand new.... Cheers Ian!

8. Urgh... too many late nights this week.... ok.... Friday was a corporate do with '5CATFish'... all good and well... good food, good crowd, good money and managed to get another few gigs from it. Saturday was playing with my Disco/Funk outfit 'Hot Sauce' at the Funkfest in Ipswich.... great fun.... great mix of bands. Sunday was playing with my original's out fit 'Adorno Stone' at the Corn Exchange in Hertford.... Room was very kool although the acoustics were shocking... well stocked bar though.. ^_^

15.
That was the worst thing I've ever heard, 10 minutes of pretentious jazz noodling while pulling 'arty' faces to uninteresting muddy sounding rhythm backing. Not only that But both (Berlin moreso) played some downright bad music in their solos, poor note choices (don't pretend they were trying to be arty, when you stop on notes that sound downright unmusical at that frequency in otherwise generic jazz soloing it isn't intensional), poor melodic flow etc. etc. Maybe theres some musical value in it somewhere but thats pretty much the worst I've seen of both those musicians.
I couldn't agree more.....
16.
Try the Status ones, they feel really nice, I hate really stiff strings, and I found the TI's to be too loose, the Status were just right. It's best to phone them though, they do have more gauges available than the website suggests. They're also pretty cheap.
+1 for the Status Hotwires
17. Is this the one for sale on e-bay at the moment?
18. Never ever agree to play a song you totally don't know just because the bridesmaid who asked is as hot as hell.....
19. I think we should start a dedicated section for it....
20. I'll up the offer to £225 J
21. Don't settle for anything less... - IEM
22.
For good reason! In 99% of the gigging situations that are gonna come up today it is not needed or desirable.
I totally disagree.... As I'm depping covers in bands left right and centre.... most of them require an element of Slap bass at some point.
