1. from their site - Also, by removing bridge mono mode and 2 ohm operation - features that are never used by the majority of amplifier users, the price and weight can be lowered further while still allowing the amp to operate effortlessly into 8 and 4 ohm loads with ample headroom.
2. Ah you mean that you want to bridge the inputs rather than the outputs?
3. The reason it won't run in bridged mono is because they have not designed that feature into the GX3 series..... you need to move up to RMX for that. These are designed as amps at a price point.
4. Nice.... Old Skool!
5. Bollocks....
Look carefully: as 1957 was the first year of the split-P pickup, the pre-production pickup cover in the picture has a different profile than the standard pickup cover we've all come to, well, either love or hate as your personal style may be. And his bass is a "transitional" '55 or '56, with the single-coil pickup, but beveled front armrest.
Bollocks.... look how high he has that bass.... 2 years later it was up under his chin.
6. Sad day for the whole Bass community.....
7.
No slappity slap there, he's just using the tug bar in the time honoured fashion.
He'd have you believe that.... if you look at his fretting hand he is actually into the main riff of Mr. Pink!

14. We always carry a spare power amp in the van..... I have a DI box in my bag so in case of emergency I can use one of the monitors and create a temporary bass rig

18. Thanks guys..... the new product is obviously different to the vintage product but we are trying to keep some of the original ideas alive. The build quality is excellent though without the weight issues of the older product thanks to more modern materials being available. Here's our latest user, Eric Rupert.... I'm hoping we will have a review of the SB120 available on line soon from his recent extensive use of the combo
19. Playing predominantly weddings myself, we usually do 4 or 5 public gigs a year where we will book either a pub or similar so that prospective clients can come down and check us out. We don't ask a fee for the gig usually as we are using it as self promotion, just expenses covered. We normally try and find a nice pub for these events rather than your typical pub band pub. Other than that I'd say if you are trying to get more clients you would be better off trying some of the wedding fayres where you have a captive and target audience.
20. I'm in Wickford too....... Have no use at all for the video tapes though..... Have a bump!
21. Hey Yes it will happen.... so many other things going on at the moment but I will contact everyone who showed interest. I've just got the Tessen series of PA cabinets reviewed this month in Sound on Sound magazine so am currently working through all the interest shown from that which is considerable. Will keep everyone updated and there maybe an offer at some point through one of our fellow Basschat members store. Jay
