1. Bump and price drop to £200!
2. Saw one in guitar guitar the other weekend but didn't have time to try it out sadly.
3. Where are you based?
4. A regular comment I see on YT videos is: "2:45 - skip talk" I get why people talk in videos but most people want to hear how it sounds, rather than the sound of your voice. Knobs has got it down if you ask me.
5.
Not cheap but my Moog clusterflux is great and very present in the mix
Is the minifooger chorus in the same sort of field? Obviously bar the self oscillation. Thanks for the input guys! Don't suppose any come with a tap tempo/presets/midi because I'm looking into synching everything up.
6. Was tempted by the MXR bass chorus but supposedly it gets lost in the mix quite frequently, which is a damn shame. So the question is what chorus wouldn't get lost? Heard good things about the TC chorna and the Mr Black double chorus, any other suggestions?
7. Tap tempo - plate setting - you want the EHX cathedral! Picked up second hand for £100-120, I'd sell you mine but I'd have no other reverb to replace it.
8.
Great shout, always a killer player, and great Jazz tone! Si
Who is the player?
9.
And that, judging by the inlay and what he was known to play at the time, was a Jazz Bass https://goo.gl/images/z9Glq1 And I agree totally BTW! :-)
What else is there to making a tone like that? As far as I'm aware he only plays with fingers.
10.
I know a lot of the sound from that clip is due to strings/pickups but man, this amp sounds nice. The start of the clip is pretty much the tone I use with my Tonehammer & Sansamp. If I were in the market for a new amp I`d be GASSING severely for one of these, but as all I`d do is get the sound I currently use there`s little point. Additionally, what strings were they, I`ve never seen an E string flap so much, it was flappier than a flappy thing.
Talking about that Patrick video? I've wondered too why it's so flappy! Lovely colour jazz too.
11. Now sold.
12. This thread is realistically depressing.
13.
Not up to date, but a useful list - http://stinkfoot.se/archives/808
Thank you for this, was looking for something like this.
