Especially the wasted time in rehearsal. I often come across guitar players who "haven't had a chance to listen to the song" when learning by ear. Sucks when you're paying for rehearsal space
Good for you. I'd maybe ask one of your band mates to be a practice buddy. I sing tenor in my church choir and there's nothing we won't help each other with
I'll second that. You need to have some faith. Be a bass player. Walk in dem boots, and enjoy. I reckon nothing brings you on better than actual band, and gig experience. Sometimes practice at home is only like a flight simulator, you have to climb in the cockpit!!
Now she is a beauty! I hear what you say about other basses, I've tried them all, God knows!! I do love other sounds, like the fizzy gurgle of a jazz, but I always reach for my P in the first instance
I've had no luck selling on ebay or shpock recently. I think the market has stalled temporarily. I see basses on here that have sold in hours in the past, and they are sat languishing. Nobody's fault, just people are cautious these days
