  1. It's something that you see quite often. I'm inclined to agree with Dood. I just can't help but think there's a sinister motive.
  2. I do believe this was mine originally. I swapped it for a stingray 5
  3. The slider,, iirc, is for series-parallel-single coil. Makes for a hell of a flexible instrument. Good luck with the sale, my friend. If I had the money.......
  4. I see these on flea Bay from time to time. I can't understand the reason why you would post pics of the bass without strings. As a potential buyer, I find it a right turn off!! Am I missing something, folks?
  5. I love these. My mate used to call his "Lady Stingray"!
  6. This gave me some food for thought, as I have a guitar amp gathering more dust than a Dyson
  7. Neil Young classic, in a gorgeous jazz style
  8. Fair shout, the breathy bird singers. And the banking ads, should try and be more Schofield. As for the reworking of a great song, I like it. The lighter tempo, the darker minor inflection and the stripped back orchestration are refreshing. As someone who remembers proper punk, bands like reel big fish etc, however just make me wince. It's like manufactured x factor versions of a classic style. Still, takes all sorts, innit
  9. Ladies and djents.....
  10. I turned 50 this year, and I play in an 80's band
  11. I like a reworking of a cover. There's a lovely version of "everybody wants to rule the world" on a TV advert currently. Love it
  12. "I pronounce it aluminium....."
  13. I just spotted this on ebay, and was headed here to post it!! 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
  14. Agreed, mate. Might be easier to just block myself off ebay, I'm on it that much 😂!!
  15. It's a good, broad topic, this. I'm on the verge of walking out of my band due to differences and it's interesting to see how bands up and down the country are so similar. I don't want to start bit ching, suffice to say that I'm the only one who understands the difference between eighth notes and sixteenth notes.... And imagine trying to explain to them how to correct a simple timing error. Add to that a singer who scalps a percentage "for the pa" and add a pinch of "I can't do that gig, the Mrs has booked a holiday" and you wonder why I'm still at it!!
  16. Is this the wrong topic for peddles, then?
  17. I hope its not just me, but I hate getting all excited when you see a Fender precision advertised for around £150 and it turns out to be squier by fender. If its a squier, sell it as such!!
  18. Ooh I'm the king of sellers remorse, mate. I never learn. Stingray 5,us p bass to name but two!!
  19. Thank you. I will measure my cab and make sure.
  20. Thank you for that. I've been hearing their name for years, but never actually used them
  21. Vintage v4 is a safe option, on a budget. We'll built, sound like Precision bass, and look cool. Check ebay. Some b stock on for £199 at the minute https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F253813126521
  22. https://goo.gl/images/rUvk1N It's an Aria gt
  23. I think Aria did a bass, with a p shaped body and a 'Ray type pup by the bridge
  24. Cheers. I've had a look at them and hot covers but neither have Eden in their template list. I found an American site but I don't want the customs faff!
