Quite a big choice of trace gear recently for sale, and there's another one for sale - my Trace Elliot GP7 SM150. MAde in England, 2001. Bought it as a backup head but don't really need it. Overall good condition, except mute button doesn't work. Bit tatty case, but it has the rack ears, so can be easily moved to other case. Powerful enough to play pub gigs with my covers band, might be not enough if you playing hard core metal of something like that. Anyway it has built in DI. I'm in Holywell, Nort Wales, traveling from time to time to Manchester and Liverpool, so possibly can deliver. I'd like £135 for the amp, but feel free to make me an offer. Pics to follow later today Kris

Back Alley is quite good, usually cheaper than Dawsons. I use to buy in Back Alley's Mold branch. You can check as well at Hammersound in Connahs Quay (http://www.hammersound.co.uk/) not so far away from Chester.

Once again big thanks for Stuart. Again great pleasure to deal with.

Personally, I can't see a point of paying £500-600 for "Sterling by..." if you can buy second hand american made musicman for £700. That's not a cheap alternative.

Look a bit strange to me. What's this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

What to say, postman just brought some stands I bought of Nick. One more positive feedback. Thanks Nick.

Is it just went crazy or those basses aren't below £200 price range anymore? If somebody want's to pay £300.00 I may have one for sale

I use to have one of those basses - east german made Musima Deluxe 25B. In 1983, maybe 84, it was the top range for me. The dream was to have on my own Czechoslovakian made Jolana Diamand Bass (czech instruments were way best made). Only one, probably japanese made, PBass copy I've seen at this time branded Maya been own by community centre and there was only possibility to borrow and play it on very official gigs (like a communist 1may day, or indepence day). Do you have memories like that, guys? Anyway, in Poland you can still buy these instruments in price range maybe 30-50 pound. Prices on uk or american ebay just makes me laugh.

Hartke HA4000 basss head, bought some time ago of other basschater, loud decent amp. The amp is 200 Watt at 8 ohms and 400 watts at 4 ohms. It has a good EQ section and sounds really well. Use to have some problem with clipping signal (known fault, easy to find few topics about it), recognised as a loose joint and sorted by a local technician. It has as well fitted attenuator for adjust signal level on active input. Gigged many times after that never let me down. Actually excellent condition, perfect working. SOLD Behringer Composer Pro-XL MDX2600 Decent compressor, what to say - with original box. SOLD I'll take some pictures tommorow. Items to pick up in Holywell, North Wales Only reason of sale is a GAS for some trace elliot

I bought trace elliot 2x10 cab of Martin. What can I say - I just love to deal with all those mancunian guys. Thanks again Martin!

In my opinion, first you should ask them about some writen rules of the competition, specialy what they can do with recorded videos. That's strange there's nothing about it on the website.

My only point was, that, there's a general rule - if you trying to repair anything on your own - you loosing your warranty. And doesn't matter that's 99 pence volume pot, £40 scratchplate or £2500 amp. I'm not going to argue with you anymore, as I feel really sorry for Nigel, and all this topic is going to be more about marketing than bass. Regards Kris

You absolutely right, it would be nice but.. what's a point to be nice to a guy who made a mistake, and then calls all the world, by starting this topic and making complaint to Fender, how bad is company behavior. Hope that's clear what I trying to say, and sorry to Nigel, that's nothing personal Kris
Yes but how different this thread would have been had they said ," humm well you shoudln't have done that, really, but here's a tenner off a new one and you can keep the bent one as we'll just throw it in the bin anyway"
I feel sorry seeing bc-er loosing money, but on this occasion I think the shop customer service is right. You can't just try to repair thing on your own and then send it back. Sorry, that's my opinion Kris
Hi Chris from Absolute. Read this thread, (all the way through) http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;hl=andertons That is how to recover from a potentially disastrous customer service situation (as you have here)
