Totally agree. This weekend I’ve shifted a whole box of parts on eBay that nobody is interested in here.

I have always had good experiences when I’ve spoken to the buyer and met in person. The poor experiences on any sales platform have been when I have either sent or been sent an instrument, amp or part. Given the pressure couriers are under, I’m just it prepared to risk sending an instrument anymore. I don’t know which platform earns you the most per item. I decide what price I’ll accept and I’ll wait until I’m offered what it’s worth. I won’t use FB for personal reasons (I’m against the platform and while my protest is pointless, ensuring me or my children aren’t exposed to it is the best I can do) but I do use eBay. Personally, I would prefer to sell here as it supports the community and I have never been ripped off or scammed and I’ve met some genuinely lovely people. This site has also been an invaluable resource that has helped me a lot, so cheers all!

This is a signed Ltd Edition Print by Jamie Reid (The designer of the Sex Pistols iconic album cover). This is an edition called ‘Dirty Fake Old Queen’ and is inspired by the famous cover. It’s been relicced by the artist, you’ll see what I mean! Its number 28 of 231. Here is some more information about the edition: https://www.artrepublic.com/dirty-fake-old-queen-by-jamie-reid-47287-html-sid-u.html This was purchased from the L13 Gallery in London and I was going to frame it for my office, but never get round to it and I’ve moved office and can’t put up pictures anymore. This was for sale at £250 but I obtained it for £135. (I’ll include the receipt for provenance, naturally). I’m hoping a fellow Pistols fan will be interested in it and if so I’m happy to sell it for what I paid. Editions online have been listed for 2 or 3 times this amount as Reid’s work is highly sought after. Can send but collection is possible, I make a mean cup of tea!

Anyone learning John Patitucci's Melodic Etudes?
Burns-bass replied to Rob MacKillop's topic in General Discussion
I’ve tried a few of these, and they’re really good! If you’re struggling with intonation, you can run a root note drone in the background which will help you stay true. -

Being in a band that develops a great sound usually takes time and commitment. I started playing with a friend of mine who’d never played live before. He is, by all accounts, a bit mad. In the beginning it sounded terrible, but now he’s pretty good. It’s taken over a year to get there. I play jazz with a group of beginners, too. Musically they’re pretty terrible but they love it (and turn up every week on time - that means a lot). I used to want to be cool in bands, now I just want to enjoy time with great people. If you like these guys and want to work to make it better, then good for you. If you’re looking for the perfect band, then it’s probably better to start one than try to find one. If you decide to quit, do it amicably. When you start pointing out the faults of other people they’ll usually find a few of your own, so tread carefully is my advice.

The band name too, I’d suggest...

It must seem like I’m monopolising the listings as I clear out my music room, but hopefully not. Here I have 2 vintage Bassman catalogues. These are pretty dull, but at the back is a cool picture of vintage Fender basses. Size is approximately A5. £6 each Fender Album of Stars This was a CBS promo item that (I think) dates from the late 60s. It was full of A4 photos of Fender artists and stars that could be cut out and framed. Most are gone, with only two sheets left- but you do get the iconic Monk image! Must be of interest to someone, how about £6. If you’re interested, here’s the full catalogues: http://musicmansteve.com/paper/AlbumStars.htm Prices don’t include postage. (All proceeds will go to a new bass that I’ve fallen in love with for sale on Basschat!)

Seems this has all gone now. If anything changes will Update.

I’m still decluttering in a massive way and now clearing out some stuff from my former music room (which is now my daughter’s bedroom). I’ve got a cheap 7 guitar rack stand. This is solid. I’ve replaced a number of bolts today and it stands up well. It’s not a brand name, it’s cheap and cheerful. The metal on the corners has bent a little bit, as you can see in the images. Looking for £12 3 x Stagg Guitar Stands These are 3 identical Stagg guitar/bass stands. All new but have been stored which has left a few marks on the rubber. These are inexpensive when new, so looking for £8 each. It’s collection only, unless you want the whole lot, then I’ll be able to wrap it up and courier it to you for a few quid. Fender bass not included!

Also there’s a jack socket and a couple of strap buttons too.

Free. Send me a few quid for postage! Can pack up and send ASAP.

Haha, I know - it’s funny. I found the same, the booking fees are incredible sometimes!
-
Better than £38 though!

Buy them here at the proper price... https://www.ticketweb.uk/event/cory-wong-swx-tickets/9483635?REFERRAL_ID=tmfeed

It seems you might be buying it on a reseller site? When I looked at tickets for a friend they were £18.50 plus booking.
