  1. That message came after I explicitly advertised an item for collection, the guy bought it then asked me to post it. It caused me untold hassle and ended up with him threatening to come up and punch me. I replied “you can pick up the amp when you arrive you *expletive deleted*” Then I got a nice email from someone and I realised Basschat wasn’t eBay. So I’m happy to post it, but only if you’re nice!
  2. Pre CBS jazz bass. Sounded and played OK, but too expensive to take out the house. Played it for a few hours, hid it in the cupboard and then I nearly torched it with a paint stripper (long story!)
  3. These are very highly regarded and almost always priced much higher!
  4. I forgot to message about this didn’t I? Sorry. All good if Richard needs it, otherwise I’ll grab it. Back to normal here now.
  5. Tom and Will bags get a good write up. Personally, I’ve found the Hidersine bags to be fine and they’re cheap too.
  6. Agreed. It's the perfect jam session, gig bag bass I found.
  7. Ad says real rosewood (I hadn’t checked!). Nice nice nice. Although it only says 2 pickups when there are clearly 3. Who knows?!!!
  8. Here’s the last of my most recent Clearout. It’s a lovely Hohner Rockwood LX90 strat in a beautiful red. This has been used for a long time, but plays well and all functions. The neck actually has a really deep colour, which looks like rosewood but I assume not at this price point. Its priced to sell, and can ship with the neck off for £6, or collect from Bristol!
  9. This is my pedalboard flightcase. I bought these as I wanted something to protect my pedals but the weight is too much and it’s overkill for a preamp, tuner, and distortion that I typically use. The lid is removeable and not hinged. I paid substantially more, but think £99 is a fair price I think. Collection preferred but can probably ship it, as it’s bombproof.
  10. This is an SKB Flight case. This is proper heavy duty case. The idea is that you put your bass in its padded case then put it in here. You can padlock it. Its very well used but still usable, if that makes sense? I bought this for gigging but it’s not suitable for that. It’s slightly over-engineered. Collection preferred, but will post. Was £60 now £50!
  11. Here is my excellent and very funky Squier Precision Special. Don’t be put off by the name, this is a wonderful bass with the full P/J pickup combination and slim, jazz neck. This has been played and gigged a lot but now isn’t. The pots have been replaced as has the jack socket. This makes it more playable and was essential to give me the confidence to gig it, which I did with no trouble! Now £185 without the Chromes.
  12. Found it. Don’t need it. Can send it. let me know if you want it
  13. I recorded two albums with John Burns and did an awful lot of drinking and chatting about Genesis.
  14. These are as new. In fact, been played once by me, but it was something I never tried again. Come in the box and will be thoroughly cleaned before sending. You get C D E F G A and Bb Half the retail price. £35
