  4. Here is my Markbass Micromark 801 combo. This is an amazing little lightweight amp and has served me well for a little while. I was the original owner from new, but I don't have the box anymore. It's in perfect working condition. This has been relegated now I've got a Trace Elf and a Barefaced cab, so it's for sale. I can send this and am happy to do so, but I'd prefer collection if we could. Pics below, let me know if you need more. £175 now. Postage just £10.
  5. Here is my lovely shortscale Squier Jaguar Bass with the fantastic matching headstock. This is, like all my gear, in great condition! I bought this (believe it or not) from a 14-year old girl who played it for an hour a week for a couple of months. There are some marks on the back on the finish which could probably polish out. All in excellent working order and strung with D'Adarrio Chromes (which are £45 a set). Can post!
  6. This is a lovely condition 1962 Fender jazz reissue from the Mexican Fender factory. This is in excellent condition with just one small blue mark on the top horn. Fender specs are included in the picture below. The truss rod works well, the neck is straight and the action is excellent. It's a beautiful playing bass, but I already have 3 jazz basses and I have to clear some stuff out. The frets are in excellent order and are the pencil-thin vintage variety, so it's a fast one. I paid £500 which I think was really fair and I can sell for the same price. Now £425. This comes with a soft case and I have a box to post it if you'd like to take that option. ition, with only one blue mark visible o
  7. This is a used condition 1980s Marshall 4x10. It all works (can be seen working) and is incredibly loud. This is a really solid, sturdy and heavy pro cabinet. This piece of rock and roll history will need to be collected from Brislington and can be yours for just £99. I bought this recently with a Jubilee Head (which I'm keeping). This is just too big and heavy for me, and it's taking up too much space. Collection only, from Bristol please!
  8. If you’re a self employed musician it’s highly likely you’ll fall under the trading allowance threshold. If you do declare yourself as a musician on insurance, you can claim back a proportion of that as an expense. Personally, I’ve never declared to my car insurer that I play music, in the same way I don’t tell them that im a serious cyclist, love running or am a stone overweight, because it’s nkt relevant. https://www.litrg.org.uk/latest-news/news/211202-are-you-using-trading-allowance-correctly
  9. Selling my Martin Drednought Junior. This little beauty was made in Mexico and has recently been set up by the amazing Simon at SiCo setups. The guitar is in excellent condition with a barely noticeable scuff mark on the top. Comes with the Martin soft case, also in excellent condition. I can’t and won’t post this so it’s collection and a cuppa in Bristol. £399 takes it away, and I’ll be sad to see it go but I now have a handmade Kinkade guitar that blows all my others out the water.
  10. These basses are exceptional in every way. I found the quality for the price was superb and everyone who saw it loved it. I replaced my sunburst one with a red one and it’s a beauty.
  11. Bank holiday clearout begins… Here is a good copy of the Beatles Complete scores. This has literally everything they ever recorded for guitar, bass, drums and more. There’s a seam split that has been crudely but effectively fixed. See pics! £30 delivered sound fair? Second is the Beatles bass tab and sheet book for Greatest Hits volume 1 £10 delivered More stuff to be added through the day…
  12. Why? When I was 16 I was in a terrible covers band, then I got better. If someone is having a crack you beat them down or help them up. Your choice…
  13. £45 for the Eugene Cruft book £10 for Simandl £7 for the DB exercises book
  14. I’d recommend a £200 Squier VM Jazz fretless or a Sire fretless. You can play it and enjoy learning safe in the knowledge that if it doesn’t work out you’d get every penny of your money back.
  15. To 99.9% of people every bass sounds the same. If you like it, that’s all good but none of it matters. I showed my dad my 66 candy apple red jazz bass with the matching headstock and he said “that looks knackered, my mate can re spray it”
  16. The BassBros guys are good people.
  17. I wouldn’t go near that. No guarantees the body is original, even if it is it could be filled on. The changed hardware rings alarm bells too. Reckon that’s about £2k at best as most vintage dealers wouldn’t touch it.
  18. The fact he’d deliver is a good sign, so he’s probably confident in what it has. It’s always the issue buying through a private sale from someone who is obviously not an expert. You see the same bass for sale at Andy Baxter and assume that’s the price you’ll get. Happens with any collectible.
  19. I spoke to the chap and he has a firm price in mind. Im not suggesting head involved in nefarious practices, it’s highly likely idiots bid then try to renegotiate. I advised him the price he wanted was far too high and level with that of a London dealer and he’d probably get half in a private sale. Seems I was broadly right.
  20. Can do this a bit cheaper as it’s the cause of some marital strife
